The new Globe Theatre on the south banks of the Thames near its original location. Many of the performances take place during daylight hours, just as they did in Shakespeare's time.
There's no admission fee to go into the gift shop or the restaurant of
this tastefully reconstructed theater. A guided tour of the facility will
cost some money; but, it's worth it to see this new addition to London's
Southbank theater scene. You can also get tickets for upcoming productions
at the ticket office at the complex. The only downside to the Centre is
that it's fairly isolated from public transportation stops. A visitor to
the complex pretty much has to take a taxi to get to it. Hopefully, London's
transportation planners will rectify this situation soon.
