SEPTEMBER EDITION

Welcome back to Key Club, you Mighty Cows!

Mooo! Can you already believe that this GREAT year has already begun? I'm So excited and I'm also sooo proud of this Division!! I believe that today we have the most Key Clubbers in attendance to one Divisional Project...well besides, the Banquet. But considering that today it's all about Spirit, I'm overwhelmed by the dedication you all have shown to be here today or maybe it was teh "semi" free lunch? j/k Get ready to get spirited to the max today because that's why we are all here.

Why Be Spirited?
Hmm...good question. Well as most of you know that in two months is one of Cali-Nev-Ha's biggest events of the year is FALL RALLY SOUTH!! With there being a 6,000+ record in attendance last year, many more are expected this year. On this day, all Key Clubbers are at Magic Mountain celebrating our commitment to service. So after we get all rallied up for District and Key Club, we have a huge Spirit competition, where almost all 25-30 divisions in attendance compete for the "Most Spirited Award". And yes, I admit, I do have my eye on that, because with our Division being so big, we have the ability to win that award. Like I've said before, I'm hecka competitive, so I'm not letting out Divison give up without a fight. I know, we can win taht award, and if we can than why not give it all we got?? SO today if you feel tired, or if you are just sick of staring at orange or blue cows... just think of the GREAT time we'll be having at Fall Rally in or spirit grear!!

Regional Fall Training Conference at Rosemead High School

Yes, its is almost that time of year again!! Woo-hoo!! The Region 12 Regional Fall Training Conference...RFTC for all you Key Clubbers. Well there has been a slight change in plans. Originally we were doing a double Training Conference with Region 20, but they have declined to be included in our RFTC. So this year, it will only be Region 12, as it always has been in the past. The information is as follows:

When: Saturday, October 12, 2000 @ 12:00PM to 9:00PM
Where: Rosemead High School
Cost: $7 moos per person
Why: To get all officers, and prospective officers traing and ready to go for the rest of the year.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to have Governor Joe, or any of the District Board in attendance, because on the same day as Fall Rally North. Sorry guys!!

But there will be workshops on Spirit, Pres/VP, Secretary, Treasurer, Fundrasing, Advisors, Key Club 101, Int'l, Historians, Project Corrdinator, DP Workshop, and many more. There will be Dinner included in the cost, and there will be a Dance after. So hope to see all my 35 CoWs there! Oh yeah...this is also the day of the October DCM for Division 35, so you all better be in attendance.

Early Bird Dues

Treasurers, you thought you could escape me, huh?? Well sorry to say but, the deadline for the Early Bird Dues has been moved up to October 13th, 2000. These dues are the lifeline of your club, without the dues, your club doesn't even exisit to the Cali-Nev-Ha or International Key Club. If the dues are not paid, then your club will NOT be recognized for all the hard work that your have done, and you will not be able to function as a club without them...so PLEASE do your club a favor and turn them in on TIME!! I will give each club that turns their dues in early bird, 500 whopping points!! What a better way to help your club right? And all you have to do is pay your dues.
