Name: L'oss
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Birthday: 2.25.1268
Birthplace: Ista Weyr
Location: Mirror Lake Weyr
Occupation/Rank: Weyrling/Journeyman Smith

Physical Description

L'oss is tall and lean, and looking strictly at his face, one would think that he was an aristocrat by appearance only. Though he is strong his 6'2" frame is not bulky and much more graceful than the frames of other men his size. His skin is darkly tanned and though he is not bulky, his muscles are hard and obvious to sight and touch. Ever graceful, L'oss maneuvers just as well on the dance floor as he does when working as a smith. His movements are precise and delicate. L'oss's face is chiseled and angular. His eyes are slightly slanted and are a cool silvery-grey in color. Like most of those who have the same blood, L'oss has wispy pale blond hair that tends to flow attractively around his face, coming to about the nape of his neck. His cheekbones are pronounced and his noise is aquiline. At times, L'oss can almost appear feminine, but his usually cocked eyebrow and flashing smile often warns people that he is more of a ruffian than he looks.

Personality

While L'oss may look like an aristocrat, his manner better befits a pervert. But that is not to say that he would ever commit an act as horrible as rape or child molestation. L'oss is the mostly harmless type. His comments usually dirty when aimed at someone he finds attractive and he is not above the occasional slap on the ass or breast grope. L'oss cares little for power or prestige and more for self-gratification. If there is an easy way for him to get laid or pleasured in some other way, he will take it in a heartbeat. His affections are flitting and rarely long lasting. At the most, he will pursue an attractive individual until they agree to a relationship. During a relationship, L'oss will be loyal as long as he does not get bored or as long as the relationship is easy. As soon as he gets bored, he will go off to find someone else. If the relationship develops problems that are not easily solved, he will bail and again, find someone else. L'oss is an excellent smith and cares greatly about his craft, but this is the only area right now in his life that he is truly devoted to.

Background History

Losha, Leoss' birthmother, could almost win a trophy for the large amounts of sexual confusion she caused in a number of young riders. The flight that caused Leoss' birth again caused a great deal of turmoil for another young man. Losha's brown Gervith was rejected by Ista Weyr's gold, which left Losha in a state of desperate desire. A young bluerider by the name of K'plincas took pity on her and went to bed with her. Losha ended up pregnant and poor K'plincas ended up in a world of trouble. His male lover rejected him and K'plincas spent a great deal of time trying to decide if he liked men enough to get his lover back or not. While he was debating this, Losha decided to simply foster her newborn son with the same family that she had sent her older daughter Nazlin to. She was lucky enough that Nazlin had become a beloved member of the family, thus the cothold had no trouble accepting Leoss.

Leoss never had trouble in the cothold. He knew that he would never be heir since Morheen was the oldest of the adopted children and the oldest son at that. However, his self-worth never took a blow as Gervain, who was truly fond of the young rascal, made every effort to make sure that Leoss felt needed within the household. Leoss proved to be a very naughty but skilled child. Any craft he completed with his hands was well done with enough skill to impress any visiting or local crafter.

While some children would have suffered under the situation, Leoss loved being raised by Gervain's wife Portas and his mistress Shada. Ever an attention seeker, Leoss enjoyed being rather doted on by two caring women. Their attention helped him learn how to impress women and he often enjoyed flirting with them even when he was young. He never came to them without a kiss on the cheek, a small flower, or some other little gift with which to impress them. It was no wonder they doted on Leoss.

Leoss flourished in the openness of the cothold. Not a secretive person himself, he was happy to let his triumphs be shared with the whole cothold. His flirtatious and scandalous nature endeared him to many people since he was harmless in his acts, unlike his older foster brother Morheen, who ended up hurting many people that he sexually interacted with. However, Leoss did have enough discretion to keep the secret of Gersha's death within the family. Though many people questioned him, he had nary a word to say about the person who supposedly saw them gather around his sister's dying form and say soothing things to her as a Healer gave her a heavy dose of herbs that would kill her. Leoss kept his mouth shut, ensuring that the rumor of Gersha's death would remain only a rumor.

Gervain's death was more than a little upsetting to Leoss. He had genuinely loved the old man and looked up to him for the fair way he dealt with people within the cothold. Though Leoss was Searched, there was little that cured his sadness over Gervain's death. At least, it remained that way until Morheen's new bride Csardrita appeared on the scene. Leoss was instantly jealous of Morheen. His older foster brother had something that he could never have, which was a woman of Csardrita's beauty. For a long while Leoss secretly worshipped her, never allowing her to see the devoted way he did her bidding. Luckily for him, Csardrita never caught on and the infatuation simmered down to a mild lusting crush. When a searchrider from Mirror Lake Weyr returned to the cothold on the advice of Ista Weyr's searchrider, Leoss was more than happy to know Csardrita was Searched as well. There was just the problem of overcoming Morheen…

Csardrita's letter to her father played a big role in getting Morheen to agree to letting her go, but so as Leoss. Leoss took his brother aside and began telling him of a younger, more beautiful single woman that he had met. Morheen's interest was instantly spiked and Leoss was glad to see him switch interests. He didn’t bother telling Morheen that though this girl was beautiful, she had rocks for brains. But Morheen probably would end up enjoying that. Thrilled to finally get out of the cothold and see a new location, Leoss gladly accepted his spot as a candidate.

Dragon Info

Name: Igrainith
Color: Blue
Age: Hatchling (4.20.1286)

Description

Igrainith is arranged much differently than most dragons. The most noticeable thing about this blue is that his body is more serpentine in build than normal. Igrainith is longer than most blues, reaching more the length of a mid-sized brown but he lacks the bulk and height to back it up. Thus, he is only above the average blue in length. However, his body mass and height matches up with most average blues. This tends to give him a low-slung, elongated look. His facial features tend to be delicate and cold looking since they are also elongated. Not only that, but he is oddly symmetrical when it comes to his face and overall build. This is the feature that tends to make him look cold. Igrainith has long powerful wings and his very long tail and body helps him weave through the sky gracefully. Though his facial features make him look cold, Igrainith is an attractively colored dragon. He is a bright robin’s egg blue over most of his body with some variation here and there. His belly tends to be lighter but it is a very subtle lightening that does not have much of an impact on his overall looks. Igrainith’s eye ridges are much darker than the rest of his hide and the dark color sweeps upwards, reaching his neck ridges. His neck ridges are the same dark color as his eye ridges and the color travels in a starkly dark blue line down his back and tail. Also, his elegantly built front paws are a darker blue as well. The darkness fades at the level of his elbows. His back paws are also darker, but the darkness does not extend further than his ankle bones.

Like his rider, Igrainith is coy and tends to have the blatant sexuality that is associated mostly with greens. He loves to flirt and does not mind leading on the females though that tendency gets him into trouble. Igrainith is surprisingly delicate in nature. He is more than a little freaky about neatness. The most delicate of eaters, Igrainith demands bathing after every meal just in case something happens to stick to him. Since he does not like to make a mess he is also a slow eater, making sure that every morsel gets where it needs to go. Likewise, he hates mud and the sensation of sand sticking to his hide. He will constantly be at L’oss to keep things tidy. Messes near him are a bother and Igrainith is not afraid to order someone to clean something up, no matter their station. Bold and cunning, Igrainith is far more ambitious than his rider. However, he is ambitious in a subtle way. Instead of wanting to be something ridiculous such as the weyrmate to a gold or the leader of the wings, he has ambition for his rider. Igrainith wants the best for L’oss and tends to push him in directions that he sees as being good for L’oss, though in truth they might not be. L’oss and him tend to argue a lot over ideas, and though Igrainith is fairly strong-willed, he will give in when his rider pushes. When it comes to mates, Igrainith is even less picky than his rider. Any female that beckons is more than worthy of his attention. Whether or not he actually stays true in his affections, however, is another story. Igrainith does not mind playing favorites and if he can, he will pit one green against another green simply because he is amused by the possessiveness that most female dragons seem to feel towards their mates or males they think should be their mates. While greens aren’t known for loyalty, Igrainith manages to get more than one to fight over him. He can be absolutely charming one minute, but almost cruel the next when it comes to the ladies. Perhaps he has perfected the art of picking up affections by being a jerk. Either way, it will take a lot of pushing to get him to settle down.
