The original plan had been to go to see the three gorges, but we heard rumors that the boats weren’t being able to pass. (We were never able to verify these rumors though.) So we decided to go with Andrew and gang to Kangding which is southwest of Chengdu. It turned out to be an interesting trip if not the one we originally planned.
