Thu 1 September, 1994. New school year.
The new head mistress of our school, Ma Kit-Ching, spoke in the
morning assembly.
There were changes in our class, too. Blind Keung盲強, after an
unsuccessful "soccer season", left and studied in another team (school), "Hin-Lay"
in North Point (I don't know it's name in English). Pauline went to
Canada to study, Hay-Man also went overseas. Ng Kong was unlucky,
he could not promote to F.7.
There were two "players" added to our "squad". A big guy named "Big
brother", came from Wah-Yan College, and "Ah But 阿弼", a repeater.

Our form mistress was Dr. Corlett in the year. As To Lo, our psychology
teacher, left the school, Mr. Bobby Ho took his place. But Bobby Ho said
he knew nothing about A-Level exam in psychology.
Mon 5 September
Mr. C.P. Lau (mentioned as "C P" in later stories) was our GPA teacher
that year, and our Economics teacher became Lo Chung.
After school, Seven, Dennis, Flower, Leung Man, Y K and me went
to visit Mr. Farmer, our former GPA teacher, because he was ill
(heart attack). His home was really nice. We talked about his
girl friends and his attitudes in love.
Mon 12 September
As we were under pressure by Seven, in our free lesson, I talked to
Leung Man and Dennis about what we were going to give Seven as a
birthday present. Dennis suggested that we can sign our names on
a certain sheet of paper, and give it to Seven as a present. I
suggested we could give him a silver plate.
Big Brother, as a new comer of our class, was not welcomed, and
we thought he was a little bit crazy. I also thought so. Big
Brother mentioned to Long Hair that I was a little neurotic
(means crazy) and won't be able to go into the
university. I was quite angry with that. And the fact proved he
was wrong.
Tue 13 September. Seven's birthday lunch.
At lunch time, in Treasure Lake (Bo-Wu) Resturant, it was Seven's
birthday lunch. The five girls in our class appeared since Seven
did a lot of things for them (not to mention Seven's nickname, "public
slave"). Dennis was close to Seven, so he came. Joey came to make
jokes, and came with Shing. Leung Man and I, wanted to take the
oppurtunity to bully Seven, also came, Our Chinese Literature
teacher, Mr. H.K. Lee, was our guest.
Mon 26 September. Ah But's secret.
Ah But was accused of seeing Flower's "secret body parts", Ah Kin
was also accused. Seven interfered, so we said Seven was so cared
for Flower! On the next day, Jimmy talked about Ah But's behaviour,
Flower started a war with Jimmy. They threw the duster to each other,
until the duster was destroyed into broken pieces of cloth.
Fri 30 September
In the P.E. lesson, there was a 6-minute test of running around
the basketball ground. It was hard. Bobbi was totally exhausted after
the test, and needed Old Horse to carry him back to the changing
room.
Tue 25 October. The arguement.
In these days, there were a lot of conflicts inside the class. Seven
did something to make Long Hair unhappy, before they went to a
serious arguement, I interfered, and stop the war successfully.
Today, Seven went into another conflict with Old Horse. The
atmosphere was tense. I heard that they had a fight at the lunch time.
In the psychology lesson, they were furious to each other, Bobby Ho
did not succeed in stopping them.
Fri 4 November. The picnic.
Our class' picnic was going to Deep Water Bay. Joey and others
bought tools for barbecue from Repulse Bay. Old Horse and I made
a hole in the sand (as a trap), and tried to make Flower trapped in it, but
we failed. Then, Flower was pushed to the water by some of us, Old
Horse and the girls suggested to push me to the water also. I had
a fight with them, then Leung Man and Seven joined them, as I was
surrounded by 5 or 6 classmates, I was beaten. 好漢打不過人多
Dr. Corlett played flying-saucer and beach ball with Ah Nok and
Dennis.
Thu 10 November
YK and Flower went into conflict, and the atmosphere among the
girls was strange. Old Horse asked me to watch the girls to prevent
any unhappy events.
Fri 18 November
In the psychlogy lesson, Bobby Ho taught for a while, then he talked
about buying and selling Batman toys, telephone cards, and chatted
about films with us.
Fri 25 November
Flower and Long Hair went to another conflict. Old Horse get into them
and argued with Flower and said Jimmy was involved in the Flower's
side.
I was forced to the toilet by Old Horse to have a talk, Big Brother
joined us then. Old Horse was very angry. Then, Jimmy and Old
Horse negotiated in the toilet, and they nearly had a fight.
After school, I went to Causeway Bay to eat something with YK, Elaine,
Long Hair, Big Brother, Ah Kin and Joey.
Mon 28 November. Sports day.
All girls were absent except YK. Seven and Bobbi were also absent.
Mon 5 December
In the free lesson, Seven did the copying punishment for the "F.1 guy",
in order to have a lunch for reward.
Every student received a piece of paper to write down their
Christmas wishes. The papers were then put in a bag and hung in the
Christmas trees of the school.
Tue 6 December
Recently, many of us started to write down our wishes about our study, and
stick it to a corner of our desks, but Bobbi stick the photo of a
Japanese star instead, and frequently said she is lovely.
Thu 8 December. The romantic walk under the rain. 雨中漫步
The exam for GPA., after that it rained heavily, Seven and Flower walked
down the hill under ONE umbrella together without anyone else to disturb.
Fri 9 December
Ah Nok, Leung Man and I talked about the event of yesterday, which is
about Seven and Flower's romantic walk.
Tue 13 December
Before the exam, Ah Nok, Ah Wo and I talked about the teachers and
made a pop-chart of the great words said by the teachers. The chart
included Dr. Corlett's "No probelm la!", "die surely", Lo Chung's
"Except setting up a fire and killing people, I do everything I want to",
C.P.'s "Far far below standard" etc..
Tue 20 December. The event of the birthday cake. 生日蛋糕事件
In the economics exam, at one time I went to the washroom, after that I bought
something to eat in the covered playground before returning to the exam
hall. I saw Seven talking with someone.
After the exam, Leung Man and I heard Dr. Corlett asked Seven to
buy a birthday cake, because Long Hair's birthday is on the next
day. After we heard that, we tried to escape from the school, but
we were caught by Seven and forced to buy the cake with him.
Wed 21 December
After the religious ceremony of the school, classes celebrate
Christmas in their classrooms. We have the birthday cake together, but
Jimmy and others who didn't agree to use the class fund to buy the
cake didn't eat the cake.
After school, Leung Man, Ah Wo and I went to karaoke, I presented
the theme song of "Pao the Judge".
Fri 30 December.
Ah Wo, Leung Man, Jimmy, Dennis and I went to Sha Tin to ride
bicycle. Seven didn't come, so we could not bully him, but we said bad things about him in the journey. We rode
to Tai Po.
Thu 12 January 1995.
Seven and Jimmy was still argueing about the Event of the Birthday
Cake.
After school, Leung Man, Ah Nok and I analysed Seven's attitude
to Flower. We thought Seven was not saying what he really thinks
about Flower.
Fri 13 January
In the recess time we played "water-melon" ball in the classroom.
Leung Man, Old Horse, Big Brother and I passed the ball to each
other. Suddenly Big Brother kicked the ball with great force, seemed
like a clearance. The ball flew straight outside the window to the
hillside. The window was opened, if it wasn't opened, the ball
would break it surely.

Fri 20 January.
Most of the boys including me had lunch together at Tim Yuen. Seven
said he was used by the girls, but we all thought he was just
using the technique of "fisherman's net" towards them.
Mon 23 January.
No one was absent on that day, quite abnormal.
At recess time, the boys played football in classroom. Flower
became the "live target" of the ball, we shoot it to her when we
had the ball. While Flower and Leung Man were escaping form the
ball, they bumped to each other, we all screamed.
Thu 26 January. The event of San Miguel water. 生力水事件
When I arrived school, I saw Seven drinking a can of San Miguel
beer publicly on a bench in the covered playground. I asked him
what was happening with him, and got no definite answer. After a few
days, he said it was because Flower said something bad to him (On one day, Flower's
stomach is not functioning well, and at that night Seven phoned her and showed his
care. He asked "Anything wrong with your stomach now?", but Flower replied "Anything wrong with
your lung now?"). He
was frustrated, so he had the beer (He "stole" the beer from
the refrigerator at home). Jimmy and others called it "
The event of San Miguel beer" afterwards.
Jimmy also seemed abnormal, he scolded Ah Wo for his poor performance
in the football match yeaterday. Leung Man was also not functioning
well, while he saw somebody, he gave him a flying kick immediately.
Ah Wo's comment:
Concerning to the event happened in 26 Jan, 1995, i.e. the event of San
Miguel water, this is an interesting topic that I have some new
interpretations. In the first place, I don't think Seven was not unhappy
after being scolded by Flower. He was not frustrated but rather he wanted
to raise some of the concerns by other girls. Actually, he was offending
the school rules but he was brave. In other words, he wanted the girls to
understand and pay much more or enormous attention to him. He
wanted the girls to understand his existence was really working for the
girls even though he would try to offend the school rules. He
wanted the result was that: Girls should respect to him and love
him, even, they should priase for his existence as Seven thought
that he paid too much time and efforts in taking care of the
girls. However, he failed. He did not get the concern from the girls
mostly, worse still, he imposed a bad image himself around both boys and
girls. He wanted to call up a spiritual mass movement but he lost in this
game.
What do I mean for "bad image"? As well as everybody knows, San Miguel
water is the worst beer and we seldom drunk when we were in F.7. He was
bad taste and he was being looked down by the boys and the girls. So, he
was silly and even he did not think of the consequences of such an event.
Luckily, he was not punished becasue he was not found by any teachers of
such behaviour. This was just a joke which was acted by Seven. It might be
said that he was just another "Mr. Bean". He always failed in handling
relationships with others although he had tried to pay his best efforts.
Fri 27 January
Only 11 students attended the class. In the afternoon, another 3
left the school. Because it was the last day before the Chinese
New Year holidays.
In the recess time and during the GPA lesson, we played a football
match in classroom to celebrate the Chinese New Year. In the last moments
of the GPA lesson, Leung Man, Ah Wo and I also left the classroom.
Only Dennis and the teacher, C.P., was remaining in the classroom.
Mon 13 February.
Our "Classroom Football League 班房聯賽" was established. We played matches
in our classroom. Each team can have two players in the pitch, a
team won if it can first score two goals. The teams included "Mid-Autumn" (
Leung Man, Ah Wo and I), "Messy Team" (Joey, Jimmy, Ah Bang).
Thu 16 February.
Only 7 students went to school in our class. At lunch time all
students except Dennis left the school and have lunch in North
Point. It was because it was the last day before the mock exam.
We talked about the maximizing behaviour of Bobbi.
Tue 7 March
Jimmy suggested that we should have a big eating programme, we
all agreed. The programme was named "Ghosts' and Beasts' Big Eating
Trip 妖魔鬼怪大食團". Today, Seven and Old Horse paid for us for lunch in Pizza Hut, tomorrow,
Dennis, Ah Wo and I paid for the lunch at Treasure Lake Restuarant.
Leung Man and others pay for the karaoke the day afterwards, and
Ah Bang paid for the football match (will be mention afterwards). We
all volunteered in our decision, but we did not care too much
about money, since happiness was more important in the trip.
Everybody contributed in the trip.
After school, Jimmy, Old Horse, Ah Wo and I went to Causeway Bay
to buy a cake for tomorrow. This act was suggested by Mrs. Choi, the
Chinese history teacher.
Wed 8 March. The last day.
It was our last day for school. We ate the cake we bought yeaterday
in the Chinese Culture lesson. At lunch time, all of us except Bobbi
went to Treasure Lake Resturant, we treated the lunch as the wedding
banquet of Seven and Flower. We made Seven to buy beer in Park'n Shop,
Seven had 3 cans of beer, after that, he felt sick, and needed
hot tea.
After that, a farewell party was organized in the school hall.
Teachers said some encouraging words to us. Bobby Ho sang in the
party. Some snacks was supplied, but as we were full, we didn't
take too much to eat. Tears was inevitable for girls in these
scenes.

There were 18 students "remaining" at the end of F.7. There were
32 students in our class at the start of F.6.
Thu 9 March.
At noon, we gethered at Causeway Bay to go to karaoke, as the last
event of our "Ghosts' and Beasts' Big Eating Trip". We left at 3 p.m.,
and walked around Causeway Bay. Jimmy analysed the events happened in
the past two years. We thought the last few days in the school were
the most peaceful days for our class.
At night, we played football at Quarry Bay park. The squad, which
included top stars of our "Classroom Football League" was as
follows:

Yau Lung-Fei Joey
Mr. Siu is the father of Ah Bang, and was our leader in the match.
Our opponent was the team of Ah Bang and Jimmy's friends, including
Jimmy. We won 7:5.
Late March to early April
The terrible A-Level exam. I had my battles in Kwai Tsing district.
Wed 12 April.
Jimmy, Ah Bang, Ah Wo, Dennis, Seven and I all had the GPA exam
in Shek Kip Mei. We went to have a drink in Mongkok after the exam.
Thu 4 May.
Jimmy and I had Psychology exam in Shek Kip Mei, then we joined
others in Causeway Bay to have dinner. A 6-hour exam was so terrible.
Wed 24 May
The exam result of Use of English was released. Seven and I got B, Long Hair
got C unexpectedly, others got D except Winnie. We had lunch together,
then I went back to my summer job in the Southern District Office.
Thu 25 May.
After my work. Dennis, Seven, Old Horse, Dr. Corlett and I went
to the Peak and had dinner together. Then we went to Lan Kwai
Fong to have a drink. Seven, having some beer, started to speak
bad language afterwards.
Fri 23 June.
Dennis, Ah Wo and I went to visit the big Buddha on Lantau Island.
Sat 24 June. Hong Kong 3-2 Japan
We played football in Victoria Park. Our side included Ah Wo, Raymond
(an old classmate), Leung Man, two other old classmates and two
strangers wearing Blackburn Rovers jersey. Our opponents were
a tram of Japanese young players (around 10 years old), we let
them to have more players to play with us because we are older
than them. The Japanese were poorer in physical strength, about
had good cooperation, accurate passing. Our "Hong Kong Team" had
better speed. We won 3:2 finally.
Sun 25 June. The graduation dinner.
Our graduation dinner was held in the Century Hotel in Wan Chai. The
following people attended: Bobbi, YK, Long Hair, Winnie, Dennis,
Seven, Ah Bang, Ah Wo, Jimmy, Big Brother, and teachers included
Mrs. Choi, Dr, Corlett, C.P., Ho Lo, Eric Tsui and Bobby Ho. We
chatted happily, especially Mrs. Choi.
Some of us went to a bar to continue talking.
Sun 9 July.
Jimmy, Big Brother, Ah Wo, Seven and I went to a bar to chat.
Seven was questioned about the arrangement of our graduation dinner
as well as the event of the birthady cake.
Mon 10 July.
Release of A-level exam results. My result wasn't satisfactory.
Thu 10 August.
Release of JUPAS (university entrance) results:

Long Hair: No place.
Chi-Wai: Baptist University (Business management)
Leung Man: Chinese University (Japanese studies)

Although some girls could not have a seat in university that year,
they were managed to go on studying in university or other
institutions in the next year. So, we have a "happy ending"
eventually.
Sun 13 August.
Dr. Corlett invited us to go to her home to have a party. Dennis,
Seven, YK, Leung Man, Ah Wo, Big Brother, Jimmy and Ah Bang appeared.
The seaview of her home was very great.
Then we had dinner in Causeway Way.
