Author’s POV

..Inuyasha. Kagome looked down at the crumpled site of her former lover. ‘I’m still not ready for this.. it’s too painful to see them again..’ Kagome flipped off her hood, and as she turned around, she unmagicked Miroku’s wind tunnel. As she looked at the taiyaji and monk, her gaze bore into them. “Take care of him.” She called to Sai and Shippo telepathically. [Sai, Shippo, let’s go.]

“Kagome-sama?” Miroku walked forward and tapped Kagome on the shoulder. “Is that you?”

Kagome turned around. “Hai Miroku-sama. It is I. Take care of yourselves.” With that said, Kagome flew off.

Kag’s POV
‘Mio! I told you I couldn’t see them yet!’

<-I thought you were strong enough Kagome. Gomen nasai..->

‘Don’t beat your self up over it. *sigh* I wonder what they told him.. He’s probably galumphing (Funny word ^^) through the forest right now-’

<-Looking for you. Doesn’t that make you feel any better?->

‘I told you. I don’t like him like that anymore. No more than a friend.’

<-Think what you wanna think.-> ‘I just wish that what she was saying wasn’t the truth..’ (ß Those were Mio’s thoughts if you wanted to know.)

‘Whatever.’ I flew down to Sai and Shippo. “Hey you guys ok? Want to take a break?”

“Naw. We’re fine. How about you? You didn’t rest after the battle. You ok?”

“Never been better. Well actually, I have been better. I never used to get sick when I was a kid. But that was probably because I had the Shikon no Tama in me.. But if I’m in the past without the Shikon, when I’m born in the future, will I have it? ‘Cause if I did, I wouldn’t get sick.. Although how would I have it in the future if-”

Sai sweat dropped. “Shut up Kag. Forget I asked.”

I blushed red from embarrassment and started to fly off in a random direction. I paused to look back at Sai and Shippo, when I was promptly tackled by an angry wolf demon, Kouga.

“Who are you and why do you smell like my woman?!” Kouga shouted.

I sighed. My day could not get any worse. But we all know what happens when we practically ask fate to make our lives worse. What they did/would do to me, I would find out later that day. Moral to this predicament you ask? Don’t tempt the fates. Back to the current pressing issue I sighed as I started to shape shift. “Kouga. #1. I am NOT YOUR WOMAN! #2. I am now a hanyou miko. Strange, ne?”

Kouga looked on appalled as I shape shifted to my human form. “K-Kagome? You cam back to me! As my woman, I knew you would come back to me! You will now become my mate!”

<-Retarded little man, ain’t he?->

‘Very.’ I said as I sweat dropped. “Look Kouga, I don’t like you like that; only as a friend. And get it through your head. I AM NOT-’

“-We’ll need to get back to the pack to perform the mating ceremony. Of course, after we eat.”

We all ‘anime face-falled’ with legs in the air at Kouga’s absent-mindedness. “Ano.. Kouga-kun..” I walked up and tapped him on the shoulder.

“Eh? Kagome? What did you need?”

“I AM NOT YOUR WOMAN!!!!”

“..” Kouga blinked. “The dog-turd made you think that, huh? He has corrupted your brain!”

“You are a hopeless case Kouga-kun..” I sighed as I rubbed my temples. [Let’s just go and leave before they perform the mating ceremony.] I told everyone (except Kouga. :P). They all nodded their heads. “Kouga-kun. Let’s go.” I started walking to where I smelled wolves after changing into my hanyou form. ‘Much better.’ No matter that I had been a human for the first 16 years of my life, I felt more comfortable as a hanyou. ‘Odd. Hey Mio? Should I brainwash Kouga-kun?’

<-No. Don’t want to mentally damage.. *pause* if you want to. He has nothing to lose.->

‘Your mean, although truthful. I won’t brainwash him. I’ll do that later.’ We made it to the village/tribe and were met with a well-accepted feast.

-3 HOURS LATER-
“Kouga-kun. We need to go. Arigato gozaimasu for everything.” I kissed Kouga on the cheek gently; in a friendly way, then quickly masked all our scents and turned us invisible. “Ja ne..” I picked up Sai and Shippo with my miko powers and flew us off in a random direction. [Where to everyone?]

*snore*

*sweatdrop* K.. Never mind.. I looked off into the distance and saw a giant structure.

‘What’s that?’

<-Wustinjuju. The Lord of the Western Land’s castle.->

‘Sounds fun.. Let’s go!’ Making sure all scents were masked, I flew through the tower window. As I went through the window, I made sure it made sure it made no sound and I magicked it back together. ‘Perfect.’ I thought with a smirk that; which quickly turned into a frightened gasp as I felt something pierce my neck and as I looked up I froze. Before me stood the Lord of the Western Lands himself, Sesshomaru. As his cold gaze met mine, I managed to squeak out one word, “Hello..” before I heard the snapping of my neck and the world went black. As I fell into the inviting darkness, I heard a frustrated snort and:

<-Jeez. You’re always dying. One of these times, I won’t be able to save you. You really are an annoying apprentice, you know that?->

Sess’ POV (YAY! KAWAII!)
I walked from my study after sending Rin to bed.

“Sesshomaru-sama!” A puke-green toad came running up to me.

‘Just my luck. My ‘loyal’ retainer. *sigh*’ “Go to bed Jaken.”

“But Sesshomaru-sama! It is impolite to go to bed before you!”

“Shut up and go to bed.”

“But Sesshomaru-sama! I-”

I fixed him the most menacing glare I could muster. “Go. To. Bed.”

“Sesshomaru-sama!”

I smiled. “I can’t wait to get a new retainer since my current one won’t listen.”

Jaken finally got the hint. “H-Hai Sesshomaru-sama!”

‘I guess it’s time to ‘sleep’. How stupid.’ As I walked to my room, I heard a sound for a millisecond, breaking glass, before it stopped. Curious, I walked to the left tower , and felt the presence of someone/thing. Pinpointing the location, I grabbed where its neck should be, and the being appeared. I narrowed my golden eyes at what I saw. ‘A female hanyou. Another one-second toy.’ With sarcasm dripping off my voice, right before I snapped her neck, I heard a faint,

“Hello..”

I walked away, but turned around as I felt something strange. The hanyou I had just killed, the one the Kitsune and usu-youkai were crowding over started pulsing in a purple/pink light. I heard a faint heartbeat and my eyes widened in shock. ‘But.. I killed her! This isn’t possible! My ears are playing tricks on me.’ But even though that’s what I told myself, I knew I was wrong when I saw her lift herself up and look around in an emotionless stare that rivaled mine. In a cold tone, she looked at me and glared.

“Konnichiwa Sesshomaru.”
