Meeting
Sai’s POV
We climbed out of the well, and into a clearing in the middle of the forest. “This is Inuyasha Forest?” ‘Wow.. This is so much different from my time.. I wonder whom I will meet.. again.’ I sighed. ‘I don’t know what will happen when I see them all again..’ “Kagome, how much longer until we meet your friends?”
Kagome looked back at me. “I truthfully don’t want to meet them.. So it may be awhile,” I mentally breathed a sigh of relief until she started talking again. “But, they may come and find us..”
‘Crap. I don’t want to see them.. they will find out my secret..’ “Well then let’s try and find a place where they can’t find us..” ‘We better get moving.. and fast. If he comes.. I dunno what I’ll do.. With Kanna.. He should already know..’ I sniffed the air and my eyes widened. “Kagome!” I hissed, “Inuyasha is coming!”
Kag’s POV
‘Mio! Quickly! Mask our scents and sounds! If you could make us invincible, that would be grand! HURRY!’
<- Say please. ->
‘PLEASE! Quickly!’
<- Fine. Fine. It’s done. Now leave me alone. ->
‘I can’t. We’re in the past. You need to train me, remember?’
<- *Sigh* Are you always this demanding? Fine. Go to the Goshinbuku Tree. Once there, take a left until you come to the two parallel trees that have strange auras coming from them. Walk in between them. Make sure that Sai is touching you in some way. Once you walk in between the trees, don’t leave. ->
‘Fine.’ “Sai!” I whispered, “Follow me!” I ran to the Goshinbuku Tree and followed the rest of the directions Mio gave me until I came to the trees. I didn’t notice a tiny part of my cloak tearing. “Take my hand!” She did and we ran through the trees. What we saw was enough to render us speechless. It was so.. familiar! It was the entire Sengoku Jidai, starting with the Inuyasha Forest, well included, only reversed! The Goshinbuku was there, and we ran into a huge area with a waterfall and grassy hill. ‘Wow.. ’
Inu’s POV
I smelt something come out of the well. ‘Kagome?’ I rushed off in that direction, only to find a faint scent of Kagome and someone else. ‘Was she here? Or is that from before?’ I ran back to the village and rushed into Kaede’s house. “Shippo! Do you smell Kagome?”
Shippo sniffed the air. “No.. Are you hallucinating.. again?”
My wire-thin patience snapped. “Shut up!” I yelled as I promptly threw him into the forest. ‘Kagome.. Are you ever going to come back?’
Shippo’s POV
After being thrown into the forest, I started sniffing. ‘Now that Inu mentions it.. I do smell Kagome..’ I followed the scent until I came to 2 trees. ‘This is where her scent ends. Where is she?’ I walked around until I caught sight of a piece of cloth that smelled like Kagome. “Kagome?” I ran through the trees and saw Kagome and someone else. “Kagome?” She turned around to face me.
“Shippo-chan! What are you doing here? How’d you get through? Only if you were touching me would you be able to get here!"
“Kagome-mama, is this yours?” I asked holding up the piece of cloth. I wondered what she would say after I called her that.
“..What did you call me Shippo-chan?”
“..Kagome-mama..” I whispered. So she didn’t want to be called that. Or so I thought.
“Shippo-chan! You want me as a mom?”
“Of course! You’ll always be my mom!”
“As sentimental and touching as this is, we’re here for a reason.” The usu-youkai said.
“Oh shut up Sai. Mio won’t mind, will you Mio?” I watched as Kagome started mumbling to herself. ‘Has she lost it? Is this what heartbreak does to you? Inuyasha, your in trouble!’
“Fine we’ll start. Sai, take Shippo and our stuff and sit over there. I have to meditate and ‘find my inner powers’ or so Mio says. You can’t trust her though.” She paused for a minute. “Shut up Mio.” ‘Yuup! She’s definitely lost it.’
Kagome’s POV
‘What do we do about Shippo and Sai?’
<- They can stay in your time. If they are here, they will only destract you. ->
'Fine. I’ll tell them.’ “Shippo, Sai, it would be best if you went back to my time, lived at my place, and tell my family what happened. Mio says you’ll just be a distraction. But, you can come back and visit me! Ok?” They nodded their heads and headed off in the direction of the well in the reversed Sengoku Jidai.
“Ja. We’ll be back soon!” They shouted before they ran off.
<- Now pay attention. You will need to learn to meditate for long periods of time like Miroku. ->
‘But Mio! I don’t wanna! Why do I have to do that?’
<- Because I said so. Nah! ->
‘Mio? You have serious issues. What do I need to do?’
<- Sit down. Clear your mind of all thoughts and sounds. Look inside yourself and find the well of magic that is you. Once you find it, tinker with it. Set it so that in dire need you can call on it quickly. Make it so it won’t take forever for you to find it. Go now! ->
‘Easier said than done.’ I grumbled. I sat down anyway. ‘Clear my mind.. Clear my mind.. Clear my mind.. Clear my.. mind.. Clear.. my.. mind.. Clear.. m.. ZZZZZZ’
<- KAGOME! ->
‘Huh? What? Mio! What do you want! I’m clearing my mind!’
<- No. You’re falling asleep. Clear your mind by not focusing on anything. If you want this to go quicker, focus on finding your miko powers. ->
‘Fine. Whatever.’ I blocked out all sounds and started to search inside me. ‘If I were dormant miko power where would I be? Leesee.. Why is my heart glowing? Could this be where my miko powers were? Heh. Figures. The place that Inuyasha broke is where my powers were. Amazing. Well now to set it up so I can use it at will..’ I tried to grab it when Mio started to yell at me.
<- Don’t try and touch it psyically! MENATALLY! Jeez.. ->
‘Whatever.’ I went to grab it mentally, when the power just jumped to my hands. ‘Woah..’ I twisted it and turned it until I had set it in a place where it would stay and I could use it without hassle. Mio started tutoring me, again.
<- Focus the power into your hand and try to draw something that is either dead or inanimate. Don’t draw it in your mind, but out in the open. Don’t make up anything either. You can do that after you learn to control your power more. Okay? ->
‘Ok I know just what to make! Ok.. the legs.. now the nose.. the tail.. the spots.. the hooves.. nostrils.. and an utter! Hah! Done!’ In front of me stood a life size, black and white, zombie cow. Yes, I have a problem.
<- A COW?! What is wrong with you?! Jeez! Get a life! ->
‘I name you Old Bessie!’
<- *mumbles* How are you the keeper of the Tama? Amazing.. ->
‘Shut up. You picked me. Next item to make is.. I’m not gonna tell you! Nah!’
<- *grumbles* Stupid childish antics. Whatever. Just do it. ->
I blocked off my thoughts so Mio couldn’t hear them. ‘What did she look like? Let’s see.. Black hair.. red skirt.. normal armor.. I’ve seen it in my mind.. now to just make her a person.’ I took my powers and formed them into the shape of this person. Now for coloring.. I switched my miko powers to color. ‘Just like drawing a picture.’ I looked over the person in front of me. Now just one thing left.. I took my powers and instead of looking into me, I looked into the Shikon no Tama. ‘There!’ I pulled the spirit out of the Tama and threw it at my created person. She opened her eyes and I said. “Hello Mio. How’s it feel to have a body?”
(I could be mean and end it here.. but.. Nah I won’t be that mean.. Yet.)
Mio’s POV
I looked myself over. ‘Wow.. No wonder she is the guardian.. she has all the power and heart to do whatever she wants. She’s not evil either..’
“Hey Mio. Time to train me now that you have a body.” Kagome stuck her tounge out at me.
‘..Never mind. She is evil..’ “Fine. Next lesson..
-1 WEEK LATER-
‘I’m amazed at how much she’s learned. She’s just like.. me when I was learning of my miko abilities.’ I then started talking to Kagome telepathically. ‘Kagome. You have surpassed even me in skills, so it is time for you to try what I could not do. Set your power around your form. Once you have memorized your own form, switch your powers around to look like something else. Once you have mastered this, shapeshifting, you will be the ultimate miko. No one should be able to beat you. I will make no promises though. Good Luck.’ I watched her and as she started to fix her powers all over herself, and that is when I figured out that she would be able to do this.
Kag’s POV (I switch a lot don’t I?)
I closed the telepathy between me and Mio. ‘Ok first, I need to take my magic and memorize my shape.’ I took out my magic and made sure that it was snug around myself. ‘Memorize..’ I saw what it looked like and stored it in my mind. ‘Next is to shift it around..’ I started to move it around until I saw what I wanted in my mind. I transferred it into the powers around my body and when I opened my eyes, I was exactly what I wanted to be. A cow. “Moooooo.” ‘So Mio, what do you think?’
Mio sweatdropped. ‘You have a HUGE problem.’
“Moooooo!” ‘I know.’ I grinned and it looked like Mio had seen a ghost. ‘What’s wrong?’
‘Have you ever seen a cow grin? I don’t think so.’ Mio stopped shaking and told me that I had surpassed in everything that the ultimate miko in the lost prophecy was supposed to. “We will train for awhile longer for you to expand your miko endurance and for you to get better with the spells so they don’t take as long. Ok?’
“Mooo.” ‘Whatever.’ I changed back into a human in about ¾ of the time it took me to change into a cow.
-2 WEEKS LATER-
‘Do I have to?’ I asked Mio.
‘Ya. Everyone is probably worried about you and Shippo. So go to the village and find them. You are allowed to have fun though.’ She winked at me.
‘Ok whatever.’ “Shippo! Come on! We’re going to the village! When we get there I want you and Sai to stay in the bushes. ‘Mio. Come here.’ I held out the Shikon no Tama. ‘They will freak if they see you. Next time we’re alone, I’ll let you out.’ I used my miko powers to pull Mio back into the jewel.
‘Fine. Just don’t forget about me.’ She said before she was sucked into the jewel.
“Let’s go guys. We have a reunion to go to.” I flipped up my hood and magicked it so that it wouldn’t come off unless I pulled it off. We ran back through the ‘magic trees’ as Shippo liked to call them and all the way to Kaede’s house. I sent my powers out behind me and found that Sai and Shippo were in the bushes. ‘Thanks.’ I told them telepathically. I masked my scent with another one so that Inuyahsa wouldn’t know it was me. I walked to the door and pushed it open. “Hello Inuyasha. How have you been?” I saw Miroku with stars in his eyes and doubled over in laughter with what he said.
“Inuyasha.. Have you finally succeded in the man’s tradition?” Miroku said.
“Shut up!” Inuyasha shouted as he hit Miroku in the head. “Who are you?” I looked behind him and saw that Sango, Miroku, Kirara, and Kikyo were getting ready for battle.
“So you really did choose her over me didn’t you?” I mumbled. A bit louder I said, “If it’s a fight you want, a fight you will get. I calmly walked out of the hut, I placed a stop spell on Kikyo and Kirara. ‘Now they won’t help them. Sorry Kirara.’ I told her. I then ran into a clearing about 10 yards off. “Come and fight me!”
“Hirakotsu!” Sango shouted as the boomerang came at me. I magicked it so that it went back to attack her, but if it was going to hit her, it wouldn’t hurt.
“Sango!” Miroku shouted as he saw what happened. He took off his prayer beads and shouted, “Kazanna!” Hmm. Just as I predicted. I shielded myself before coming at him and setting his beads in place, so that they couldn’t move. “Pitiful.” Even though I didn’t mean it, I was still acting like a different person. I took out my Soinu and charged at Inuyasha.
“Feh. You think that weak sword can go against my Tetsuaiga?” Inuyasha shouted as we clashed swords.
“I know it can’t which is why I have these.” I pulled out my nunchucks and hit him in the head with them. I looked to Sango and Miroku while Inuyasha was stunned and found that they were charging at me. “Very well.” I called for help and sent it at them. “OLD BESSIE!” I shouted as I shielded her from all attacks. Sango and Miroku sweatdropped. “What? She needs to eat.” Old Bessie walked off to go eat some grass. “Good girl.” I cooed.
<- Issues.. ->
‘Shut it.’ I changed my stance to the stance I used when I was about to attack. “Itakioshu!” I shouted. I kept Soinu and sent my nunchucks and bow to attack anyone that came in between my fight with Inuyasha. I looked back at Inuyasha and started taunting him. I changed my stance again. Inuyasha saw what I was doing and did it too. We charged at eachother and each ended up on the opposite side of the of where we started. (Think when Kenshin and someone else charges at eachother and they end up opposite each other. Then one of them falls and the other walks away.) They both looked at eeachother and the one that collapsed was..
