Tutoring Opportunities - Lou Ann Mart presented tutoring opportunities to
earn money here and at a four-year college. Applications and details are
available in the Operation Excel office.
Chicago Trip - May 19th -22nd - Suzette said to pack light. The group hopes
to visit a cancer treatment center or the Shriners Hospital.
Project Graduation - collecting canned food, non-perishable items, and books
for area communities.
- Suzette reported that the area high schools have not responded to the
letter allowing us to collect at their schools. The college will have boxes
in the Operation Excel office and the Print Shop. Press release and radio
announcements will be arranged, flyers will be put up, and a challenge will
be made to offices, organizations, and classes on campus as well as those in
the community to get involved. A letter to students and families of those
that are graduating will be sent this week. We will also have a collection
box at graduation.
Celebrity Server at Sirloin Stockade on April 23rd, 5-8 p.m. fundraiser
totaled $323.30.
Community Carnival May 17th from 9:30-3:00 at Presbyterian Manor - Tammy
said volunteers are needed to help with concessions, games, etc.
Relay for Life June 6-7 - We agreed to help on Martha Hatcher's team. She is
the Dean of Student Services wife who is being treated for cancer.
Kansas Region Leadership Conference - Tammy will contact the El Dorado group
to set up a planning session.

section of the schedule.
New Officer Induction Ceremony - Tiffiny Leitenberger, President; Sam Jack,
Vice President of Public Relations; Jessica Felix, Vice President of
Hallmarks; Betty Story, Treasurer; and Juliana Kepner, Secretary.
Door prizes were given to those who brought an item for Project Graduation.
Cookies were available.
