Chapter Six

Adrea walked into Justin’s house, there was a fire in the fireplace, music was playing and you could hear laughter in the kitchen. Pulling off her coat, she sat it on the back of the couch and started to the kitchen door, leaning up against watching the three people do what they were doing.

Sarah, Justin, and Hailee’s backs’ were all towards the door. Hailee was standing next to Justin; they were making something from the looks of it.

“Okay, Aunt Sarah what is that supposed to be, Uncle Justin’s butt?” Hailee asked as Justin and Sarah laughed

“No! It’s supposed to be Justin waking up in the morning.” Sarah rolled her eyes as Justin laughed at her

“Me waking up? Are you crazy, I don’t look half as bad as you do.” Justin said hitting Sarah’s shoulder with his own.

“How come you two aren’t dating?” Hailee asked, making the whole room fall silent.

“Because Hays, we don’t like each other like that. We are just friends.” Justin smiled looking at Sarah then looking back to Hailee

“Yeah, girl I already told you this the other day.” Sarah laughed about to turn around when Justin kept talking.

“Plus, I wouldn’t be able to date her, she’s dating the Nick Carter guy from that one BSB group.” Justin said making a face looking at Hailee

“I’m not dating him Justin, it was dinner and that is that. I wouldn’t want to date him, I wouldn’t be able to stomach his annoying friends.” Sarah smiled an ear to ear smile.

JC had walked up just after Adrea did; he was smiling at the three of them. Pulling Adrea closer by the shoulder he walked into the kitchen.

“There is my favorite person in the world!” JC smiled as each person in the room turned around and looked at JC and Adrea.

Hailee’s eyes got bigger and a smile formed on her face.

“MOM!” Hailee smiled running over to Adrea and JC pulling Adrea into a hug.

“You got so big and it’s only been two weeks.” Adrea said holding Hailee tighter, with tears in her eyes.

“Yeah, Uncle Justin feeds me lot’s of breakfast.” Hailee rolled her eyes giving her mom a kiss on the cheek

Sarah smiled as she gave JC a hug and pulled away, their faces were slightly tanned and they looked so happy standing there.

“Was she good?” JC asked looking at Sarah then at Justin who was leaning against the counter.

“Yeah, she was… some times she rolled her eyes a little to much at me, but then again she got it from me.” Sarah laughed again as JC gave her another hug

“So, tell me why haven’t you and Mr. Timberpants hooked up yet?” JC asked as he pulled away and took Hailee into a hug, leaving Sarah with her thoughts.

Justin walked away from the counter and towards Sarah, JC, Adrea, and Hailee.

“What about me? Don’t I get a hug?” Justin asked sticking his lower lip out a little.

JC laughed taking Justin into a friendly hug.

“Thanks for watching her for us. I know you don’t know anything about kids that is one reason why Sarah helped. Sarah did help right?” JC asked

“Yeah she helped, She got Hailee to school on time every day and picked her up every day.” Justin smiled at the concern in his voice.

“You are wrong Uncle Justin.” Hailee said with a smile on her lips.

Both Justin and Sarah’s eyes got bigger knowing what she was talking about. Before they could tell her not to say anything she spoke up to fast.

“I was late once, because Aunt Sarah fell asleep with Justin in his bedroom.” Hailee said with a smile on her face looking at Justin and Sarah. “Uncle Justin looked a little to happy when Aunt Sarah left the bedroom.” Hailee got out, before she ran out of the room, away from Her mom, step dad, Sarah and Justin.

Adrea and JC looked at Sarah and Justin hard, they both knew they were going to get hell from that one and they knew it was going to be soon.

“I’ll be talking to you later Justin. What have you been teaching my daughter?” JC asked as he walked out of the room.

All Adrea had to do was look at Sarah to let her know what was going to happen soon. Sarah sat down on the stool next to the counter and sighed loudly. Justin sat next to her with a slight smile on his face.

“What the hell are you smiling about? She just made it sound like we were doing things together. I don’t like it when my brother wants to kill you.” Sarah said leaning her head back and closing her eyes.

“I’m smiling, because from the look on your face. You so enjoyed me on you like that. You want me, just tell me Sarah, Like I’ve said a million times, anywhere any time.” Justin smiled messing up her hair as he walked out of the kitchen and into the front room. JC was sitting on the couch; Hailee was up stairs getting her stuff with Adrea.

Justin sat down next to JC and sighed loudly.

“Listen, I don’t know what the hell Hailee is talking about. Sarah and I are just friends, I know you know this. I just think Hailee is mad about us sending her to my dad’s place.” Justin said leaning his head back on the couch moving his hip forward on the couch.

“Why did you send her there?” JC asked running his hand through his hair.

JC out of everyone knew how much Justin liked Sarah, and the whole point of having Hailee stay at Justin’s was to get Sarah and Justin to realize how much they both wanted each other. It just wasn’t working out how he wanted it to work out.

“The press kind of attacked Sarah, she left her cell here and came back to get it. They started to take photos, ask he stupid questions about us. Stuff that they should have left behind when we came out and said we weren’t dating any more.” Justin sighed adding, “If they only knew we weren’t even close friends during all of it.”

“Listen, you are saved on this on, but if I hear anything more like that from Hailee I’ll come and beat you down.” JC smiled as Hailee walked into the front room.

“JC, mom wants you to help bring my stuff down.” Hailee smiled as JC got up and walked up the stairs.

Hailee sat down next to Justin a smile on her face, knowing she got JC to bitch at him.

“What you doing? I don’t want you on my couch, you tried to get me in trouble.” Justin said messing Hailee’s hair up.

“Uncle Justin?” Hailee asked looking up at him.

“That would be me.” Justin smiled

“Why is it you acted like you were dating Aunt Sarah when you guys went places, but when you got home it wasn’t real?” Hailee asked

“It was to help get some people away from me. Aunt Sarah was trying to help me out and she did, so we didn’t need to lie to people any more and called the whole ‘we-are-together’ thing off.” Justin said as Sarah walked into the front room pulling on her coat.

Justin watched as Sarah pulled on her coat. Everything seemed to be messing up, some where in side of him, he wanted to keep ‘dating’ her. In his mind if they would have acted a little longer she might have started to like him the way that he liked her. Then what he said to her today was running through his mind, a dream about Britney Spears? He wouldn’t dream of her, he should have just told Sarah how he felt, even if she didn’t feel the same way.

“Justin?” JC asked looking at him looking at Sarah

Justin shook his head and looked up at JC.

“What?” Justin asked

“I’ll see you later, Adrea and Hailee are leaving, with me and we want to spend a few days together.” JC started as he looked up at Sarah who was grabbing her purse. “Sarah?” JC asked

“What?” Sarah asked looking up at her older brother.

“Justin said you could stay here a few days. Adrea and I want to spend some time with Hailee alone, and since you still live with me…” JC stopped

“Um… uh…okay…” Sarah said a little confused
