Chapter Thirteen

Trevor told JC every little detail of what Hailee had told him, it was something JC wasn’t even ready to comprehend. To him Hailee was the good girl, not the girl who lied to get attention. The moment he told Adrea what he had been told by Trevor, Adrea was all over it.

The stress from filling out reports about Sarah and Justin was getting to her; Jive wouldn’t stop calling her, yelling at her. They didn’t like the fact that Justin did what he did, he didn’t clear it through them and they didn’t like that at all. That wasn’t helping, and finding out she was further along then she had thought wasn’t helping her stress level at all. Hailee had been nothing but bad since she found out she was going to have a younger brother or sister, she was fighting with Adrea, lying to people about everything under the moon.

“You want me to talk to her?” Justin said through his cellular phone while getting out of his car with Sarah.

“No, you don’t have to talk to her. I just don’t understand why she is acting like this.” Adrea said using her shoulder to hold the phone while she typed up a report about Sarah and Justin.

“I’ve been there, I was once her just a little older. I didn’t like the fact that I was going to have a brother. I wanted to be the only child my whole life.” Justin stated grabbing Sarah’s hand as they made their way into a coffee shop followed by Mitch.

Sarah’s heart was pounding; she was about to meet the father she never knew. She turned and looked at Justin, who had been talking to Adrea for the last 15 minutes, dropping his hand was the only thing that made him look up.

“Hang up the phone.” Sarah whispered looking up at him, a smile formed on his face as he said bye to Adrea and hung up the phone.

“Don’t be nervous, the person who should be nervous is me. I’m about to meet your father, I mean he could be one ugly man. I don’t want our kids to look like him.” Justin said into Sarah’s ear lightly kissing her neck.

Sarah lightly laughed as she turned around grabbing Justin’s hand again. They were supposed to meet her father at the coffee shop at noon. It was only 11:45, giving them a few minutes to get ready to meet him. Mitch sat at a table across from them, giving them space, he knew the drill and wasn’t about to sit with them.

Sarah sat down and Justin sat next to her sliding all the way over smashing her against the wall. A smile on his face, he was trying to calm her nerves down. Her hands were half shaking and she was chewing on her bottom lip.

“Justin, don’t you think you are close enough get off me.” Sarah said with a nervous laugh pushing Justin away.

“I could think of another position getting me closer.” Justin winked as Mitch half choked on his coffee making Sarah and Justin bust into laughter.

“I sure hope I don’t have to give someone the sex talk.” Mitch cut into their laughter, only making them laugh even harder.

They sat there for minutes on end not talking about anything. There was people walking around, pointing to Justin and Sarah. It was loud in the shop, yet to Sarah she didn’t hear anything. All she heard was Justin’s breathing and he tapping his fingers on the table. Sarah had traced a circle into the table for nearly 5 minutes until her fingers hit Justin’s large hand. She looked up at him a smile on his face, his eyebrows bouncing up and down and a sly smirk on his face.

“Who said you could touch my hand?” Justin asked his nose almost touching Sarah’s nose

Sarah’s eyes locked on to his and she smiled with her lips just near his, feeling his breath on her skin. She was about to kiss him; however, she never got the chance to. In the corner of her eyes she saw a medium-build man, grayish brown hair atop of his head, light green eyes, with age in them. He was wearing gray slacks and a white dress shirt.

“Sarah Chasez?” The man asked this making Justin move away from Sarah.

Justin’s eyes traveled up the man that said Sarah’s name; he was wearing name brand cloths that looked as if they were 40-years-old them selves. In his gut, he had a bad feeling about this Gavin Garrett. Justin looked at Sarah then back at the man. Sarah had his chin, and that was the only thing he could tell they had the same.

“Mr. Garrett, I’m Justin Timberlake.” Justin said standing up and extending his hand, Gavin took it into his and shook it.

Justin looked back at Sarah, she was just sitting there looking at her father, and her heart was pounding yet hurting. Slowly show stood from her seat and extended her hand to his.

“I… uh… am, Sarah.” Sarah stuttered as her real father shook her hand.

They sat there for a few good hours talking, Mitch would move around in his seat uneasy at the figure having coffee with Sarah and Justin. To Mitch he looked like bad luck, a no good low life who only wants to get into Sarah’s life now that she is dating Justin Timberlake from *NSYNC. Justin didn’t want to leave Sarah alone for 2 minutes with him, even though Mitch was there.

There was just something he didn’t like or trust about this guy at all. He looked dirty; the way he acted, dressed, and talked was dirty to him. He was eyeing Sarah like a piece of candy that he wanted and was going to get no matter what. Ringing in Justin’s left pocket of his pants shut everyone up at the table. Justin grabbed the cellular phone out of his pocket and flipped it on.

“What?” Justin asked standing up looking at Sarah indicating he’d be right back, Sarah’s eyes locked onto his and Justin knew she didn’t want him to leave her.

“Justin, where are you?” It was JC’s voice in the phone from his home in Florida.

“I’m at some local ass, cheap as sin coffee shop with Sarah and Gavin. He freaks me out JC.” Justin said already far enough away for them to not hear.

“There is so major news we have here for you. Man, you two get out of there and get home NOW. I mean it, I can’t tell you over the phone. All I’m saying is, get her out of there, and get home right NOW!” JC said, Justin could hint a little sadness, and fear in his voice.

“Uh… Okay, I’ll get Sarah and we’ll be on the next flight we can get on.” Justin said now a few feet from Sarah and Gavin. Justin hung up his cell phone and stuffed it back in his pocket.

Sarah looked up at Justin, something in his eyes was telling her something wasn’t right. Sarah stood up quickly and grabbed Justin’s arm running her other hand over his face and down his arm.

“What is wrong? You look like you seen a ghost. Justin, what’s wrong?” Sarah asked, she could tell his breathing was getting shorter, with fear and uneasiness.

“Uh… JC said something about news only to be told in person. He wants us to get home now… right now.” Justin said turning his head and looking at Mitch.

Mitch stood up and looked at Gavin who was still seated looking up at Sarah and Justin. Gavin stood up when he realized they were going to be leaving. Sarah grabbed her jacket and pulled it on her body while zipping it up.

“It was nice to finely meet you.” Gavin said taking Sarah into a hug, her heart started to pound like something wasn’t right. Sarah hugged back lightly and then pushed him away from her.

“Sorry to make this so short, but if my brother wants us home, we better get home.” Sarah said taking Justin’s hand into hers and walking out of the coffee shop with Mitch a few feet behind them all the way to Justin’s car.

Justin held the door open for Sarah slamming it shut and running to the drivers’ side, while Mitch got in slamming his door shut. Justin slammed his door shut and turned the car on, taking off down the road.

“Something was oddly wrong about that man.” Mitch spoke up, trying to get them to talk.

Sarah turned her head and looked at him, a blank stare on her face. She knew it was true, something being wrong about him, however, she didn’t want to bring her self to saying there was. In her mind, that was her father, her blood, her DNA.
