Chapter Nineteen

Sarah sat down on the couch and looked at Adrea, she had been sitting on the floor, her legs crossed under her looking through papers for the last three hours. Sarah knew what the papers were about; they were about her, Justin and Gavin. Adrea was the one that had to smother this out with little white lies, and cover up all the gory details from the fans. Even though most of it was all ready out there, she had to try and clean it up even more.

Not only did Adrea have to clean that mess up; she had to put out rumors about the ‘real’ reason the guys are taking a break. Rumors started to pop up that they weren’t getting along, that what happen to Sarah triggered an already lit flame.

“Adrea, Um… JC wants to see you.” Sarah said causing Adrea’s head to shoot up, a fake smile was plastered on her face as she rose from the ground and walked past the couch that Sarah was sitting on.

Adrea walked into the kitchen to see JC cooking something for everyone to eat. His attention was brought away from the stove when he seen Adrea out of the corner of his eye. His heart broke every time he seen her, she had lost the baby nearly a month ago, and since then she drown her self in her work.

“You know what I was thinking?” JC asked raising his eyebrows up and down playfully as he walked over to Adrea and took her into his arms.

“Josh, I have to get my work done, I can’t do anything tonight.” Adrea said turning her head so that she wasn’t looking JC in the eye.

“Sarah said she’d watch the hellion, her and Justin will since Justin offered to watch his brother Jonathan.” JC said taking his left hand and move Adrea’s face so he could kiss her lips softly. “Me and you out for some time alone, just you and I. We can take a walk under the stars, on the beach… anything, I just want to be with you tonight with out anyone else around us.” JC added making the kiss deeper and more passionate.

In Adrea’s mind, she let JC down by losing the baby, even if it wasn’t her fault. In her mind, it was she and Hailee’s fault. She never knew her daughter to act out in such a way as she has been doing. She knew JC wanted to do this more then anything in the world, she also knew she was drowning her self in her work so she didn’t have to face him much at night or during the day at that.

She’d finish all the work she needed done during the day, and would make extra work for her self so she didn’t have to get home until late at night. She’d bring home ‘work’ just so she didn’t have to talk to JC, or Hailee, or anyone at that matter. She knew she was acting selfish, she didn’t get hurt as bad as Sarah did.

“I don’t…” Her words were cut off by the front door slamming, and what sounded like a very pissed off Hailee saying something to Sarah.

Adrea watched as JC closed his eyes, and she could tell he was cursing the higher heavens for letting Hailee walk in that house at that time.

“You’re going, I don’t care what you say. I don’t care if you say you have work or what not. I want to be with you, with out Hailee and the rest around. You’ve been pushing me away, and we are going out tonight, I don’t care what you have to say about that.” JC said pulling away from Adrea and walking out into the front room.

Adrea closed her eyes when she heard JC talking to Hailee, telling her how he told her over and over not to slam doors, not to cuss.

“You aren’t my father! Don’t tell me what to do!” Hailee snapped picking up the remote and flipping through the channels.

“I am your stepfather, this is my house! Hailee you listen to me, you get up to your room and don’t come out until me and your mother is gone tonight. I don’t want to see you until tomorrow morning when you are behaving and acting like an 11-year-old.” JC said pointing towards the stairs.

Hailee stood up and glared at JC.

“You’ll never even come close to being a good father. You are a jack ass anyway!” Hailee yelled as she ran up stairs and slammed her bedroom door.

JC sat down on one of the chairs in the front room and ran his hand through his hair, he looked up at Sarah who was eating some carrots and watching what Hailee had turned the TV to.

“Are you sure you can handle her?” JC asked closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.

“Oh yeah, me Justin and Jon can handle her, she ain’t nothing.” Sarah rolled her eyes.

JC watched as Adrea walked out of the kitchen and back to the stacks of paper on the coffee table. He wanted to send Hailee away for ever just so Adrea would have some sort of peace. He wanted Justin to show up then and there so they could leave, he was going to be there in a little over an hour, which wasn’t soon enough.

“Sarah, we are going to head out early. You have our cell numbers, so just call if she acts up more then usual.” JC said standing up looking at Adrea, indicating that she follow him.

“Don’t worry about me, I’ll just make her help me pack.” Sarah said with a slight laugh at the thoughts of child labor with her young niece.

“I don’t agree with you moving in with him, not at all.” JC said going into over protective brother mode. Sarah smiled at what she had in front of her.

“Jace, it’s not like I’m dating him… oh wait I am. Then it’s not like I’m sharing a room with him…oh wait… I am.” Sarah smiled standing up; “It’s not like…”

“Don’t go there.” JC said cutting off Sarah, before she had a chance to finish what she was about to say.

“I’ll go there, I’ll go there all night long, we are healthy 22 year olds and…” Sarah was cut off this time, not by JC but by the front door opening and Justin walking in with Jonathan in tow.

Justin looked around at the three people in the room, Adrea looked depressed, and JC looked like he was about to blow his top, and Sarah was smiling evilly at him and his brother. He gulped and shut the door, he then told Jonathan to go up stairs and bug Hailee.

“Did I come at a bad time?” Justin asked looking at JC and Sarah; Sarah busted into laughter at the comment he made, which only made JC even angrier.

“No Justin, you didn’t COME at a bad time, not at all.” Sarah said still laughing, Justin looked at her like she was crazy, and he then looked at JC.

“I… You… Just… Justin just don’t get her pregnant!” JC glared as he walked up the stairs followed by Adrea.

Justin’s mouth dropped open and he looked at Sarah, shock in his eyes that JC had said that to him. He started to walk towards her, only to have her walk up the stairs.

“What did you tell him? Sarah…Sarah?” Justin kept asking as he followed her into her half empty and almost all the way packed bedroom.

Sarah turned around and smiled at him. She started to put a few more things into another box before she decided to face him again and kiss him.

“I just told him that we were aiming to have kids by next month, and that he had no say so in how a condom was put on.” Sarah shrugged her shoulders as she kissed Justin again.

Justin pulled back and laughed at her before he over took her lips with his own.

“Like I’m going to believe that one, you say the word condom in front of JC… right, uh huh sure.” Justin said pulling Sarah closer to him and dancing around the boxed up bedroom.
