The dogs currently in the Rescue photo gallery are all being rehomed by GSP Rescue NSW. We have had the pleasure of meeting Charmaine who runs the Rescue and some of the wonderful dogs who have now gone to good homes. Please read the following information if you are thinking of adopting one of these dogs.
HOW RESCUE WORKS
GSP Rescue are contacted by the pound to say that they have a dog that has been a stray or has been surrendered or seized. They only take death row dogs, and do not take dogs from individuals who have made the wrong choice of breed, or have just decided that they do not want their dog anymore. However, GSP Rescue are more than happy to try and help people with specific problems or give advice as to how to rehome their dogs. GSP Rescue also put rehomed dogs on their list, as well as ex show dogs from breeders, but their first priority is the death row dogs.
A rescue dog is not suited for everybody, SOME come with baggage and need lots of patience and extra care.
All dogs are desexed, vaccinated to C5, Heartworm tested, and microchipped, they are also Frontlined and bathed before leaving Rescue. Dogs are only available to approved pet homes. GSP Rescue like to do a home check before placing the dogs. Dogs go on a trial period and rescue will take the dogs back at any time. Rescue dogs are sold for $200.00.
