Entertainment has been a drawing attraction of Las Vegas. One of the most Cirque de Soleipopular acts to appear is the Cirque de Soleil. The performing group was founded in Quebec Canada in 1984. They were composed of stilt walkers, jugglers and fire eaters, and have since evolved to include Mystere, by Cirque de Soleisome of the best acrobatic talent in the world. The company is made up of over 420 artists, and having numerous productions being performed worldwide at any given time. Two of these shows, "Mystere" and "O" are featured in Las Vegas. Mystere, a blending of music, comedy, choreography and acrobatic skills is performed daily at the Treasure Island, and includes a cast of 72 artists. O, an underwater extravaganza, has been shown at the Bellagio, since 1998, under the direction of Sylvie Frechette, an olympic synchronized swimming medalist.

At the property adjoining Treasure Island, the Mirage, Siegfried and Roy have made their performing home. They perform daily with white tigers that they Siegfried and Royhave been breeding themselves since 1958, when a match pair were bequeathed to the United States. There are only a few dozen white tigers in the world today, making them rarer than the panda bear. Siegfried and Roy have dedicated their lives to the breeding and preservations of animals, and their efforts have helped to save the white tigers from extinction.

The entrance to the Mirage is adorned with tranquil waterfalls, beckoning Volcano at the Miragevisitors to enter calm and peaceful rainforest in the desert. But once the sun begins to go down, it takes on a new image, as the waters begin to churn and a fifty foot volcano erupts, sending fire and smoke over a hundred feet above the molten lava waters below. This scene is repeated every fifteen minutes until midnight. Once inside, visitors are greeted with a feast for the senses as they step into a Royal White Tiger Habitat at the Miragelush rainforest graced with banana trees and orchids under a hundred foot dome. Behind the front desk is a 53 foot long aquarium with over a thousand fish selected from throughout the Australia, the Caribbean, Fiji, Hawaii, the Marshall Islands, the Red Sea and the Sea of Cortez. Two animal habitats have been created within the hotel grounds. The first, is an open air environment for Siegfried and Roy's Royal White Tigers. A swimming pool and simulated mountain terrain have been added to the white hued viewing area to allow the animals a sense of security and comfort as they blend into the background. The Dolphin Habitat at the Miragesecond area, a 2.5 million gallon Dolphin Habitat, has become home to a family of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. An artificial coral reef system has been constructed through four sandy bottom connected pools to duplicate the natural environment of the dolphins. Educational programs have been developed for schools, to educate about marine mammals and their role within the ecosystem.
