When Tazzy
arrived in our home, at 8 weeks, we knew immediately we were
blessed with a bullie angel in fur. As the years have
passed, and Taz is now a veteran, it is still very evident.
His stoic, yet gentle presence provides the younger dogs here
with a wonderful mentor and guide, and to us, a beloved
friend, playful companion, and trustful, sound guardian.
It is through this boy that we have learned true love and
friendship is not confined to human form, but lives within the
spirit.
Tazzy
strutted his stuff in the conformation ring, in his early
years, earning some impressive wins, including a Best Puppy In
Show Win, Best Puppy In Specialty Win, and Group Placements. He also did
well in the obedience ring, obtaining his Companion Dog Title
quickly, along with his Canine Good Citizen, and Therapy Dog
Certifications. Though his velvety muzzle now sports
some grey, Tazzy is still very playful, & is blessed with
reasonably good
health. He is as spry as the youngsters in the morning.
A couple of weeks before his
10th birthday, Tazzy successfully completed the DRAFT DOG
test, therefore obtaining ANOTHER CKC title. He loves his
carting, and this new adventure is keeping him young in body &
spirit.
When we have visitors, Tazzy will sit next to them on the
couch, when invited, awaiting the further invitation to
cuddle. He will then press his head into your neck or
shoulder, awaiting you to kiss him. Also, I will ask him
what he wants for "dinner" and list several foods, potatoes,
carrots, peas, etc.. and after going on for a while,
when I say "baloney" he leaps in the air and high tails it to
the fridge, where he twirls like a youngster and barks with
joy, awaiting his piece of baloney.
Tazzy loves to
interact with the youngsters in our home both human and
canine, and romp on our private beach and in the fields.
Though retired from the activity now, he assisted when we visited schools, sharing a program
about dog care, training, and selection. In a nutshell, Tazzy is an awesome ambassador for the bullmastiff breed.
Tazzy thoroughly enjoyed his recent 10th birthday, and
we had TWO parties for him.
