Week 2 Match-ups

Marauders (0-1) vs Rynos (1-0)
The Marauders look to get their first win of the season as they take on a Ryno team without Shaun Alexander. The Marauders can hope to have another big week from Ahman Green who goes up against Chicago, but the loss of Steve Smith leaves their Wide Receivers very thin. The Rynos may be without their star running back, but with Onterio Smith performing well, they may not miss him too much.

Chargers (1-0) vs StiffArms (0-1)

The Chargers squeaked out a win last week, and will be up against a StiffArms team that outscored them. They will probably be watching the Indianapolis/Tennessee game as they will have four players active for the game. The StiffArms will be licking their chops at the Portis vs. Giants game, but they may be riding on Daunte Cullpepper's match-up vs. the Eagles on Monday night to take them to a win.

Assassins (1-0) vs Phatbacks (0-1)

The Assassins have a few interesting match-ups this week as their opponents are a mixed bag. Aaron Brooks faces a much easier SF Defense, and the NE defense should come up big against Arizona, but RBs Jamal Lewis will go up against Pittsburgh and Fred Taylor will go up against Denver. The Phatbacks faded fast after a decent start last week, but will have a number of very tough match-ups as they have seven starting players facing the Baltimore, New England and Tennessee defenses.  Amazingly, the only player that has an easy opponent is Justin Mccareins vs. San Diego.

Ketchup Hotdog (0-1) vs JYDs (1-0)

KH is looking for better production from their Defense that generated negative points for them last week, and from Marc Bulger that was largely ineffective against one of the worst teams in the NFL. This week they can look forward to Dillion running against that same defense. The JYD's were the second highest scoring team last week lead by Priest Holmes. This week Holmes goes up against a weaker defense in San Francisco while Marshal Faulk also plays a weak defense (Arizona). Could be another big week for the all-stud-RB team.

Hitmen (0-1) vs Quiet Storm (0-1)
The two lowest scoring teams in the league face off in week 2, as the Hitmen look for someone other than Tomlinson to post some decent numbers (just like SD!). This will be a tough week for them as their Carolina defense goes up against Kansas City (pending a move for another defense) and their #2 RB Duce Staley goes up against Baltimore. The Quiet Storm can expect a bigger week out of Pennington & Moss as they go up against a weak San Diego... unless Curtis Martin carries 30 times again.

Hooligans (1-0) vs SmackDownSister (1-0)

Surprise team of week 1 (the Hooligans) looks to remain undefeated by taking on the 1-0 division rival SmackDownSister. He should probably have another decent week as Prime-Time-Owens will be competing head-to-head with Prime-Time-Moss, while the NFL's rushing leader Curtis Martin goes up against the weak SD Defense. For SmackDownSister, Domanic Davis will be rushing against a weak defense as well (Detroit) and McNabb will hopefully throw to targets other than Owens in the endzone.

Week 2 Results (Preliminary Results)

Marauders 52

Rynos 59

Chargers 53

Stiffarms 62

Assassins 67

Phatbacks 44

The Rynos down the Marauders to go 2-0 in the NFL.  The Rynos had an unspectacular day by most of their team, except for the Ravens Defense that came up big with 4 sacks, 3 takeaways and a defensive touchdown against Pittsburgh.  The Marauders follies continue as they have a second week of more turnovers than touchdowns, although Edg James had a strong game with over 125 yards and 2 TDs. The StiffArms overcome the Chargers to post their first win of the season. Rookie Roy Williams scored 2 TDs while Thomas Jones rushed for over 150 yards and scored a TD to lead their team.  The Chargers (like the Marauders) had more turnovers than touchdowns, but Chris Brown had a strong performance with over 150 yards and a touchdown. The Assassins notch a second victory with four players putting up double-digit performances.  Jamal Lewis lead their team with 2 rushing touchdowns and over 75 yards, while Aaron Brooks threw for 3 touchdowns and had over 275 yards passing.  The PhatBacks prized free agent pickup from last week netted a whopping 4 yards (that's $1.50 per yard!) as Shaun Alexander did manage to play Week 2.  On the plus side, Hines Ward came out strong with over 150 yards and a score.

Ketchup Hotdog 50

JYD's 67

Hitmen 77

Quiet Storm 70

Hooligans 57

Smackdownsister 54

The JYD's log a second win and keep pace with the Assassins in the CFL.  This time it wasn't either of their star RBs Priest Holms or Marshall Faulk that did the damage - it was Daniel Graham that scored two touchdowns who lead their scoring.  Ketchup Hotdog had 9 points out of Randy Moss on Monday night, but it wasn't enough to down the Dogs'. The Hitmen edged out the Quiet Storm to put up their first win of the year and lead all teams in scoring week 2.  LaDanian Tomlinson had a strong showing with over 150 combined yards and a touchdown, but it was the Seahawks that lead their team with 5 sacks and 3 takeaways for a total of 18 fantasy points.  Quiet Storm had a huge game out of their RBs with close to 125 yards and 2 touchdowns from Barlow and almost 175 yards and a touchdown from Foster, but it wasn't enough. The Hooligans win a close one over rival SmackDownSister thanks to Curtis Martin who for a second week is one of the top scoring Running backs.  Martin had close to 150 yards and scored two touchdowns on the day.  SDS had a slow weekend with only one player scoring any touchdowns.  Donnovan McNabb was their top scorer on Monday night as he put up over 250 yards and scored 3 touchdowns
