Hitmen

The Hitmen have a successful draft, nabbing one of the best kickers and defenses in the league, and possibly getting one of the top steals of the draft in the $2 Todd Heap.  He missed out on re-signing Michael Clayton (SDS), but filled that need with Keary Colebert.

QB Brian Greise $1
RB Mewelde Moore $3
WR Keary Colebert $5
WR Antwan Randal El $1

TE Todd Heap $2
K Mike Vanderjact $2
DEF Buffalo Defense $2

Assassins

The Assassins get their man in Carson Palmer, and re-sign one of the top defenses over the past 3 years at a meager $2.  Toefield adds excellent coverage for their most injury-prone player Fred Taylor.

QB Carson Palmer $5
RB LeBrandon Toefield $1
WR Brandon Jones $1

TE/RB Chris Cooley $1
DEF New England $2

ROC's Rynos

With a quiet draft, the Rynos re-sign Tom Brady (averaged 10th best fantasy QB over the past two years) and add three wide receivers.

On a side note, anyone interested in Travis Henry can either send the Rynos an e-mail or wait to pick him up off the waiver wire early in the season.

QB Tom Brady $5
WR Eddie Kennison $6
WR Ronald Curry $1
WR Reche Caldwell $3

Hooligans

The Hooligans add yet another QB in Steve McNair.  For most teams, $1 would be an excellent price for a backup QB, but since McNair will likley be 3rd or 4th in line, you can probably expect him to be hitting the waiver wire early in the season.

Side note - anyone with an extra running back (besides Travis Henry) - send trade offers.

QB Steve McNair $1
RB Mike Anderson* $2

* Note - this may be Ruben Droughns... waiting for clarification.

JYDs

The JYDs had one of the more solid drafts adding one of the top QBs available, the 2nd best Running Back available, and serviceable backups at both RB and WR.

QB Trent Green $7
RB Lamont Jordan $21
RB Michel Pittman $3

WR Roddy White $1
WR David Patten $1

Stiffarms

The StiffArms have a solid draft nabbing Jerry Porter for $9, which could be a steal, and take a long shot on the woozy Kurt Warner for $2 to back up Daunte Culpepper.  The very questionable pick of the Denver Defense (ranked #22 last year, in the same division as Kansas City and Oakland) left the Marauders and PhatBacks (who needed a defense) very happy.

QB Kurt Warner $2
RB Eric Shelton $1

WR Jerry Porter $9
TE Jermaine Wiggins $2
DEF Denver $1

Ketchup Hotdog

Ketchup Hotdog got the men they wanted thanks to the tough negotiations of his manager.  Most other managers respect the courage to make the picks he did in choosing Kyle Boller (QB on a defensive run-oriented team), Plaxico Burress (will he remember to go to the stadium on game day?), and the Jacksonville Defense (at least they don't play Oakland and KC twice).

QB Kyle Boller $1

WR Plaxico Burress $6
K Jeff Reid $1
DEF Jacksonville Defense $1

SmackDownSister

SmakcDownSister had a solid draft grabbing their top three priorities in TonyG, Clayton and Houzmenzadethwhatshisname.  Special mention goes to SDS for having all the players with initials instead of names (TJ and TJ will go along with JJ).

QB Ben Rothenberger $4
RB T.J. Duckett $4

WR Michael Clayton $15
WR T.J. Housmenzatheh $3

TE Tony Gonzalez $13
DEF Carolina $2

Chargers

The Charger's draft went almost as planned.  They added their top priority in Marvin Harrison, and drafted tow CHEAP QBs in Brooks (top 10 last year) and Dellhome (#6 last year).  The addition of Marshall Faulk (trade bait or insurance) and two decent backup receivers give them some decent depth.

QB Aaron Brooks $2
QB Jake Delhome $1
RB Marshal Faulk $4

WR Marvin Harrison $23
WR Brandon Stokley $4

WR Marcus Robertson $1
K Nate Kaeding $1

PhatBacks

Winning the prize for "most improved team" isn't hard when you're signing close to 75% of your roster.  The PhatBacks have a much improved team over last year lead by Edge James, and also have two other capable backs in Warrick Dunn and Michael Bennett.  Not to be outdone, they added two more backup running backs to go along with the rookie already on their roster, giving them close to half their roster in RBs.  With all the excitement over all the choices at running back, they almost forgot to draft a WR, and grabbed two long shots with their last two picks.

QB Drew Breese $3
RB Edge James $32
RB Warrick Dunn $9
RB Michael Bennett $7
RB Domanick Rhodes $2
RB Chester Taylor $1
WR Lavernious Coles $9
WR David Boston $1
WR Brandon Lloyd $1

K Sebastian Janikowski $1
DEF Chicago Bears $1

Quiet Storm

The Quiet Storm wins the award "did the least with the most".  Despite having the most money in the auction, they came out with a decent #2 WR (probably the 2nd best available), a middle-of-the-road defense and a long-shot QB.  On the other hand, they are well positioned to be VERY active in the 2006 draft when some big name running backs become available.

QB Joey Harington $1

WR Nate Buerlson $15
DEF Atlanta Falcons $3

Marauders

The Marauders draft went almost exactly as planned, with the exception of signing LaMont Jordan who went for about double what they were willing to pay.  Instead the money was spent on the starting lineup, and the Marauders finally field a team with 3 quality wide receivers (although a couple of question marks in Bennett (can he duplicate his success without Mason there) and Chambers (will anybody be able to throw the ball close to him)).  The addition of Shockey gives the Marauders the TE they lacked ever since losing Tony Gonzalez four years ago.

QB Kerry Collins $5
QB Jake Plummer $4
RB Lee Suggs $5
WR Drew Benett $13
WR Chris Chambers $10
TE Jeremy Shockey $7
TE Eric Johnson $1

K Matt Stover $1
DEF New York Jets $1
