Traltixx,
if anything, was perhaps the most bizarre villain Farscape
has had to date. He boarded Moya with the promise of making her a miracle
cloaking field of sorts to protect her from PeaceKeeper ships. Though John likened
Traltixx to a Ginsu knives salesman, it seemed as though Traltixx may have
actually possessed some knoledge of such a device, as was proven when he made
the Farscape1 disappear briefly. Unfortunately for the rest of the crew,
Traltixx's motives were more devious, if a bit vague. Somehow Traltixx had the
ability to bring out the worst in the crew and they almost immediately started
fighting amongst themselves. Traltixx somehow used optical sensors of sentient
beings to manipulate feelings of paranoia among sentient creatures. His plan was
to take over Moya so that he could use Moya's power to create large amounts of
bioluminescent light. Why he wanted to do this no one knows... one good thing
about Farscape, when someone is trying to kill the good guys, the good guys
don't worry about asking 'why.'Fortunately for the crew, humans have especially poor eyesight, nearly to
the point of being visually 'deficient.' Having the worse eyesight of the bunch,
John managed to stay the effects of Traltixx manipulation enough to collect the
rest of the gang and come up with a plan to kill Traltixx. The plan included
donning Crichton in Zhaan's puke-enhanced herbal sun-block to fight the
effects of the light. Due to his deficient vision Crichton was able, once again,
to prove that "Humans are SUPERIOR," and killed Traltixx. We may never know what
the hell Traltixx was up to, but as he promised "There are thousands more just
like me out there!" We may see more of Traltixx's kind one day.
