lalala
By Rachel Lisi

Little flowers sing la la la.

Waters whisper deep.

Skies bellow true and blue.

Mountains thunder humbled speech.

Lilith

Eve

Mary and me

Secretly giggling under apple tree.

Stars sprinkle and twinkle crystal rhyme.

Breeze gently and softly soughs.

Sun addresses roots of growth and time.

Horizon gives needed voice to clouds.

Parvati

Sedna

Freyja and me

Laugh and pray under the sea.

Moon hums sweet lullabies in a dream.

Rain cleanses us of sorrow.

The Desert cries a searing scream.

Earth silently turns tomorrow.

Isis

Rhiannon

Persephone and me

Play with peace for blessed are we.

Miss Maggie's Garden
By Rachel Lisi

Once in awhile on a sunny morn,

When the day is fresh and just reborn

You can see her donne her wide straw hat

As a dew drops from a rosebud thorn.

You never see her hidden face.

You imagine what is in its place.

The beauty must be blessed and rare,

So soft and full of earthly grace.

Her knees are caked dirty,

But she still looks pure purty.

Her flowers and fruits are soft and rare.

The trellis and poles are thrones for the birdies.

She digs and she scrapes.

So sweet are her grapes.

She pushes, plants and ponders

As her garden takes shape.

You should see what she grows,

Much more than just the rose.

The pops, the beans, the pods

A symphony for your nose.

Is she lonely then?

No dog, no cat, no men?

The Iris is her Sunday lover.

These blooms are her children.

Remember when the sun goes down

That the mother of earth is all around

Miss Maggie may be the name she gives

But the goddess is who she is really crowned.
