What is a Kitchen Witch?
By Noelle BlueSky
A kitchen witch works her creative magic on a daily basis. She is aware that a clean house may have as much effect on her family's disposition as a spell for harmony. She is practical, and can always "make do" with what she has at hand. The kitchen witch will unleash her magic on many aspects of her everyday life, understanding that her daily routines are akin to rituals. The witches' home is her haven, and she keeps it clean physically and magically.
Cooking
In the kitchen the witch makes meals healthy and satisfying, most of them are probably made "from scratch." She uses fresh herbs and vegetables whenever possible. The kitchen witch interested in cooking is probably grew most of her own spices!
Cleaning
A kitchen witch will probably cast a spell with the aid of the same broom that earlier swept the floor.
Gardening
The kitchen witch takes a special interest in how her garden grows. Even if it looks like she's only growing flowers, you can be sure that some of them have their special uses! More likely she will have a luxurious herb garden and a practical vegetable garden, and still have the flowers.
Herbology
The kitchen witch is interested in the study of herbs and their uses. And she makes fabulous teas!
Candlemaking and aromatherapy
"Candle magic" is very popular and the kitchen witch is crafty enough to make her own magical candles with their own specially-mixed aromatherapy scents.
Preserving foods
The kitchen witch takes the plunder from her garden and "puts it up" for later. She can freeze, dry, can and pickle.
Fabric arts
The kitchen witch may be involved in weaving, sewing, quilting, knitting, beading or the like.
Crafting and decorating
The kitchen witch knows how a gift is wrapped is important. Accompanied with our sacred glue guns, we're like martha stewart clones - with magic! We make our own poppets and charms and like to use power tools.
