Things I need for my Sunbeam Alpine
Last updated: 25JAN01 12:15
Over time I need to obtain the following items for my car:
-
The leather strap and buckle that secures the tool kit in the boot (trunk). It mounts to the wall of the boot just next to the spare tyre.
-
Some parts from the toolkit,
including the tool roll. I still need the following items:
-
black vinyl tool roll, with grey canvas tie strap.
-
valve key (little yellow plastic tool for undoing tyre valves)
-
spark-plug tube spanner and the 'tommy' bar for it
-
wood handled screwdriver
-
valve and spark-plug feeler guage (3 blade, one labelled 'PLUGS')
-
pliers (black painted combination pliers, marked 'TW' and 'MADE IN ENGLAND')
-
nave plate extractor (hubcap remover, 3/4" wide, 5" long)
-
Some period 'bullet-style' exterior mirrors. It has ghastly chrome plastic ones now.
-
A Smith's clock for the dash. Not really a necessity,
but it would be nice.
-
Sun visors, including the chrome brackets.
-
An original owner's manual for the car. P/N 6600938 (I have a repro now)
-
A rocker cover (valve cover) with the SUNBEAM or 'S' logo. These came on
S1 & 2 Alpines.
-
A latch for a 'Rootes Accessory' seatbelt. The part I need is the black plastic
top cover of the latch; the bit that you lift up to undo the seatbelt. When new
they had a chrome-look sticker in the middle that said 'Rootes Accessory'.
If you can help out with anything listed here, please contact me.
Remember that I'm in Australia, so inter-continental freight may make some
items too expensive.
