In 1999 Cartoon Network wanted to give their car a futeristic
look since it was getting so close to the new century. Now
when you think futuristic cartoon chances are you think of
Jetsons, well so did Cartoon Network, but whats another one you think of? Dexters Laboratory! So Cartoon Network revealed
the brand new Dexters Lab #9 Cartoon Network Wacky Racer.
This is one cool car. It was a shiney dark blue with a orange
9 on the side and top, and both the 9 and Jerry's name were in a computer like font. The hood featured Dexter with a machine on fire in the background, with the Melling and Cartoon Network Wacky Racing logo. On the right side infront of the rear tire was Deedee pushing a button (probably why that machines on fire on the hood), and behind the rear tire was a bunch of tubes holding water, with the Melling logo. On the left side infront of the rear tire was Mandark throwing a fit, and behind the rear tire was a awsome
rocket booster throwing out flames. On the TV pannel was Dexter being electicuted by live wires, with the Melling logo. On the rear decklid was a robot with machenery that had the Cartoon Network.com logo on it. This was very cool car to start off the 99 season with. You can view this awsome car
at the Dexter #9 Picture Page shown to the side.
This cars not finished racing yet, but so far it has been pretty good. It was this car that gave Jerry his second best
career finish at Daytona International Speedway, and it was
this car that everyone watched in the Coca-Cola 600 to win
a contest from Wendys. And it was this car that started out
the 1999 season. The Dexter #9 had it's up and it's downs,
gave NASCAR and Nadeau fans alike some pretty good
excitement on the track. And so this car will always be remembered as a car that looked cool, and started out the
1999 season for Jerry Nadeau, and the Melling team.
