According to "Buses and Trolleybuses 1910-1945"  by David Kaye (Blandford Press) it is doubtful whether these four buses were actually Leylands at all.  Leyland did not produce a trolleybus under the "Leyland" banner. Leyland entered the trolleybus market in 1948 with the take-over of Associated Equipment Company, marketing them under the "BUT" (British United Traction) banner. Until 1948 AEC was a separate company producing both trolleybuses and diesel buses. AEC was formed in 1916 and began producing petrol omnibuses, the first known as the "AEC Y" and went on to produce such famous omnibuses as the "Reliance" (1928), "Regent", "Renown" and "Regal" (all 1929), and the "Q" (1932). AEC took over English Electric in 1930. Only 13 English Electric were manufactured in 1930, these going to Bradford, England. The Farmers trolleybuses are more likely to be the AEC 661T or AEC 663T, most likely the AEC 663T (due to the use of Metropolitan Vickers equipment) based on the "Renown" diesel bus.
