There is a company in California that specializes in rebuilt emission control components. I have been trying for 6 months to get an air pump and have my '80 Spitfire pass Virginia emissions tests. Having failed twice, I contacted the Virginia emissions testing help line and received the toll-free number 1-800-544-4357 and found that their parts are less than 2/3 the price of new ones and carry a 1-year warranty.
