Wesley is sent off to day camp
for part of the summer, and immediately gives camp counselor Miss Pritchard
a dose of his mischievous antics. With two weeks off from work, and
desperate for someone to do something with, George begs Mr. Belvedere to
play golf with him.
Wesley is befriended by the assistant
camp counselor, Perry, who volunteers to pay him special attention,
and getting Wesley out of Miss Pritchard's hair. Returning from their golf
game, a red-faced George swears never to return to the country club again
after Mr. Belvedere breaks every golfing courtesy imaginable. Thoroughly
enjoying his outing, Mr. Belvedere promises to be better the next time
they play.
Feigning a stomachache to get out
of Miss Pritchard's nature hike, Wesley is rescued by Perry, offering
to look after him while the others go. After giving in to Wesley's request
to go snorkeling, Perry hurries him out of his wet clothes before the others
get back. Seeing Wesley's uninspired efforts, Perry gives him a hand. Made
uncomfortable by his slow, deliberate rubs, Wesley runs away, to change
in private.
Mr. Belvedere's feelings are hurt
when George sneaks out to play golf without him. Going out of his way
to avoid Perry, Wesley volunteers to spend more time with Miss Pritchard.
Picking up on Wesley's recent change in attitude towards him, Perry tells
Wesley to make the previous day's incident their little secret. Not sure
what to do, Wesley keeps quiet.
Following the day camp's closing
ceremonies, Wesley offers his new friend, Kyle, a ride home. But when
he learns Perry has already offered Kyle a ride, Wesley decides it's time
to share his little secret. With the matter being dealt with by the police,
Marsha and George encourage Wesley that telling someone was the best thing
he could have done. Concerned with his ability to cope with the experience,
their fears are relieved when the next day Wesley is back to his old pranks--putting
crazy glue in Heather's curlers.

All of the episodes of Mr. Belvedere
end with Mr. Belvedere in his bedroom jotting down his thoughts and experiences
about events in the episode into his journal. This episode was an
exception though. It ends with Brice Beckham and Christopher
Hewett advising youngsters to watch out for child molesters and teaches
them what to do in case they encounter one.
The actor who plays Perry, Michael
Horton, played the security officer aboard the Starship Enterprise
in Star Trek: First Contact and Star Trek: Insurrection.
