Leon Redbone
sang the Mr.Belvedere theme song "According To Our New Arrivals". Often
described as eccentric and yet unique, Leon got his start in the 70's singing
songs from the 20's and 30's. He has released numerous albums in 3 decades
and he has also performed in many commericals and other TV theme songs
including the one for "Harry and the Hendersons".

Robert Goulet,
of course, is the popular singer and actor who appeared as himself in many
episodes of Mr. Belvedere, including the one where George Owens (played
by Bob Uecker) quits his job as a journalist to become a lounge singer,
and the one where Mr. Belvedere gets married. He has, on a couple of occassions,
sang duets with the show's Ilene Graff, who plays Marsha Owens, revealing
her wonderful singing voice.

Streaks on
the china,
Never mattered
before,
Who cared?
When you drop
kicked the jacket,
As you came
through the door,
No one glared.
But sometimes
things get turned around,
And no one's
spared.
All hands
look out below,
There's a change
in the status-quo.
Gonna need
all the help that we can get.
According to
our new arrival,
Life is more
than mere survival.
And we just
might live the good life yet.
A
CD quality version of this song can actually be bought along with 64
other television theme songs from the 70s and 80s in one CD. The CD is
called "Tee Vee Toons Presents: Television's Greatest Hits Remote ControlVolume
6". This CD can be ordered via the TV
TOONS WEBSITE.
But if you
just can't wait and have to hear the theme song now, don't fret, you can
just download the entire song from here by just clicking the link below.
The quality is not as good as the CD quality version of course, and is
meant to just tide you over till you get the CD. I was planning on making
a CD quality MP3 file which had a very small file size until I learned
it was illegal. Uh!
