This building is the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. It was where long ago they performed many different ceremonies, one of which was to pray for a bountiful harvest.
The Great Wall is truly amazing. Right along the tops of steep mountains, it stretches on as far as you can see in each direction. The wall is thick enough for many people to walk side by side on the top. Here, my friend Andrew and I are standing on top of an old guard tower on the wall. In the backround, you can see the wall stretch out in the distance.
