When I traveled up to the north west part of China there was a group of people called the Uighars. These people were not Chinese, their ancestors were from places like Turkey, and had come to the land which is now China thousands of years before. They still speak their own language and have their own written language too.
Here is a sign explaining about a mosque I went
to. The explanation is written in English, Chinese,
and uighar. Can you believe that it says the same
thing?
