Merry Christmas everyone! Here are a couple of presents for you-
I also have a new poll question up. What are you doing with HackMaster? Be honest! I want to know how many people are actually playing the game and how many are just reading it for laughs.

Here is some info on HackMaster miniatures from Glenn Harris (Miniatures Manager at Kenzer)-

Alright then, here is the deal with the miniatures. They are being cast in a lead and cadmium free pewter that is primarily made up of tin. Therefore the only danger in eating them is the fact that you just ate a hunk of metal. So use some common sense- don't eat your miniatures!

The models themselves are in a beefy scale, approximately 34 mm. Yes, that means that they should be compatible with anything else out there, so worry not! They will come with a plastic slotted base, with most man sized types being on a 25mm square base. Thay way they will fit nicely into the squares on an average battle mat.

The range will include old favorites like orcs, elves, men, and undead beasties, plus a good sized helping of special Hackmaster goodies such as pixie fairies (yep, pixie fairies!), gnome titans, half ogres, and select highly classified critters. The models will begin to be available through stores this spring, with a few "sneak peeks" possibly being available before then if you contact us direct.

Here are the results for the latest poll question: How many people play in your group?

4 players 36%
5 players 17%
No group to play with 15%
6 players 14%
More than 6 players 11%
3 players 4%
2 players 0%

So, the majority of you guys play in groups of 4 or more players. No real surprise there. Presently I fall in to the 15% of people that don't have a group to play with right now. Well, I don't really have the time to anyway.

My poll provider is on the fritz, so there will be no new poll question as of yet. Its just as well because I can't think of any more stupid questions to ask.

Here is the new info from David Kenzer on product shipping dates for this month-

HOB 5 is coming back from the printer some time around the 13th or 14th (but with unexpected binding delays, it could come to us on the 17th). So it should hit stores rather late in the month either just before or just after the 25th.

The GM shield has been delayed to late March. I can tell you that this shield is a thing of incredible beauty and utility. We delayed it to do further testing on the materials and content as well as to file patents. I promise you it will be more than worth the wait.

I just pulled an old project of mine out of mothballs and polished it up some- the D&D Player Registry! The site is a database for D&D (and HackMaster) players. Hopefully it will make it easier for people to find gamers in their area.

Yeah, I know, I know, it's not exclusively for HackMaster. But in reality, HackMaster is just a version of D&D and most HackMaster players are D&D players as well.

To go along with the D10,000 Roller, here's a D1000 roller:

The above link is all the code you need. All you have to do is right click on it and choose "Add to Favorites". Now look in your favorites and you will see it. Click it and then you will get your dice roll. All you need is your browser open and you don't even have to be online for it to work.

I have also upgraded my online dice roller with the D1000 and D10,000. Now you can roll crits to your hearts content.

In some rather bad news, Monty Haul Gaming has announced that they are no longer working on any HackMaster projects. This means that the planned character generation program and the HMA website will be much delayed and are presently in limbo. Here's their statement on this-

I have the unpleasant duty to announce that we have had to inform Kenzer that we can no longer fulfill our goals in regards to the Player Tools, GM Tools, and HMA website. We experienced a huge amount of growth over the summer, and in these uncertain times we needed to force a decision to put the HackMaster projects out of sight. Our resources for these projects have dropped to a single person, which is unacceptable. We are releasing the previous work we have done to Kenzer, and they are looking for volunteers now to take up work on the HMA website. If you are interested, please send an email on over to jamie@kenzerco.com.
