Chapter Ten

The four women just looked at each other.

"So umm. . . do you wanna sit?" Michelle asked.

Alecia nodded and sat at the table with them. All of a sudden everyone spoke at once.

"I'm really sorry..."

"No, it was all me..."

"If I hadn't been such a..."

"You didn't do anything..."

They all stopped and looked at each before busting out laughing.

"Look, Kris and Michelle, I'm really sorry. I got carried away. There's nothing wrong with flirting and I just took it way out of proportion. I'm really sorry."

"Yeah, well, we were acting a little silly I guess." Kris admitted.

"She's right, sorry Alecia. I mean, we knew how you felt and what you told us and we just acted. . . well..." Michelle sighed.

"Well I have to admit, he is kinda cute." Alecia smirked and they all laughed again. "Just don't tell him I said that."

"You got it!" Kris laughed.

"Damn, I always miss the good stuff!" April sighed, and they laughed again.

"So I take it everything's ok then?" Nick asked, walking back over.

"Yeah, it's ok." Aleica smiled at Michelle, Kris and April.

"Great. Look I'm gonna take off and let you all do whatever it is that girls do. I'll see you later." Nick waved and walked off.

Alecia watched him leave and a strange feeling washed over her, she ignored it.

"So you planned this whole thing, huh?" Kris asked.

"No, actually Nick did. He said he felt sorry for being the cause of our fight and wanted to help us out. I'm really surprised."

"Wow, that was nice of him." Kris replied.

"Yeah it was. . . anyway, what'd you think of the lunch?"

"Well, aren't you gonna thank him?" April asked.

"For what?"

"For helping us! Come on Alecia, you know better." Michelle urged.

"Yeah yeah. . ."

"Thank him for us, ok?" Kris pleaded.

"Fine fine! I'll thank him when I go back to the hotel if he's there."

"Great! Now let's finish eating!" April grinned.
