Chapter Fifteen

"I watched the world go round at speeding light and then. Sometimes she walks the hall I hope it never ends..."

"What? I thought this was supposed to be a vacation!" AJ yelled.

"I know guys, I'm sorry. You know these things happen, there's nothing I can do about it. Jive is not being lenient on this. Besides, you know this promotion will be good for the album, more exposure." Rick, one of the mangers from "The Firm" explained to them. They all sighed and watched as he walked out of the room.

"I can't believe this shit, we can't even rest!" AJ grumbled.

"AJ just relax man, getting all upset isn't going to solve anything." Kevin reasoned.

"Well I guess we should start packing. It won't be so bad, it's only two weeks." Howie explained. They all sighed and headed back to their rooms. Nick stood and headed for the elevator to his room, normally he wouldn't mind too much. The thing that was bothering him was that he was gonna be away from Alecia for two weeks. The thought that he may miss her scared him. He sighed and stepped into the elevator.

"No I actually had a good time. . . I know you did. . . damn Michelle don't rub it in my face or anything. . . yeah. . . yeah. . . just dinner then we had a drink at the bar here. . . club soda with lime. . . so I don't drink you know that. . . I'm not!. . . whatever!. . . he kissed my hand. . . Oh stop it!. . . nice. . . what else do you want me to say?. . . it was my hand, how was I supposed to tell?. . . I don't plan on finding out. . . I'll tell you yes. . . I promise, now I have to go. . . yeah talk to you later. . . ok. . . ok. . . yes alright!. . . bye." Alecia hung up the phone and went to turn the tv on when there was a knock at her door. She got up and opened it.

"Nick! Hey, what's up?"

"Hi, I just wanted to tell you that I'm uhhh. . . I'm leaving for two weeks on this promotional thing."

"You are? Well have fun then."

"Nick! Who you talking to man?" A voice from down the hall yelled out.

"Alecia, and god Bone do you have to yell!" Nick called out.

Alecia stuck her head out of the room and waved at AJ.

"Girl come down here and say bye! Don't think I was gonna let you off that easy!" AJ hollered.

Alecia chuckled. "Excuse me a minute Nick."

She stepped out of the room and walked down the hall towards AJ and he scooped her up in his arms. Nick watched this warily, AJ had assured him that he wasn't interested in her in that way, but it just annoyed him at how comfortable he can be around women all the time, particularly Alecia. He watched as they talked and then she hugged the rest of the guys before heading back down the hall to him. He watched her walk, he liked to watch her. The way her body swayed to some unheard rhythm, so feminine, so erotic. Nick swallowed hard and cleared his throat as Alecia came up next to him.

"You ok? You look all flushed."

"Yeah I'm ok. I may be sick or something. So I'm gonna get going. So hopefully I'll see you when we get back."

"Ok maybe. Enjoy yourself and be careful. Thousands of girls would die if anything happened to their baby!" Alecia giggled.

Nick rolled his eyes and waved just as Brian and AJ came walking by.

"BYE ALECIA!" They both yelled. Alecia laughed, waved and shut the door.

Nick looked out the window at the world speeding by, the darkness engulfing him. It was all so lonely. He'd seen so much sitting on a bus on the road to some far off place. Everything just seem pass him by, everything jumbled together one great big blur of lights. His thoughts drifted to her. Her smile, her laugh, her. . . lips. Lips that he wanted so bad to feel on his, to. . . taste. It was impossible for him to be feeling like this, it wasn't like the way it was normally. He never longed for any of the girls he was with after. They just faded away, but not her. And some how he knew that even if he did sleep with her, she wouldn't go away. There was just something about her, that wouldn't let him forget. He wasn't sure that he wanted to. He closed his eyes to visions of her.
