Chapter Twenty Two

"No other woman gets to me the way you do. Baby I would change my ways if I could be with you..."

"So explain to me Alecia, what exactly happened. I know you don't wanna go through it again, but I'm curious as to what exactly happened." AJ finished.

Alecia sighed and told him what had happened. At the end AJ was upset nonetheless, but also shocked.

"So you're saying, that he could've slept with you, but he didn't?"

"Exactly."

"Wow, he never does that. I mean you know how he is, he never passes up a chance at getting...well you know. That's not like him."

Alecia looked down sadly.

"What's wrong honey?"

"Nothing...it's nothing."

"Don't tell me it's nothing. What's wrong?"

"That whole thing about how Nick would've normally...well it bothers me."

"How?"

"Well I feel like I...that I....wasn't good enough for him."

"What!? Come on Alecia, listen to what you're saying! What happened to the confident girl that I know? You're too good for him and you know it. If he can't see it then that's his problem."

"Yeah that's what Michelle said."

"Well she's right."

"I guess..."

"What do you mean you guess? You know it's true."

Alecia smiled. "Heh, it is isn't it?"

"That's my girl!"

"Thanks AJ."

"No prob baby, now give me some lovin'."

Alecia laughed and stood up to hug him.

"And I left. I feel like such an ass."

"You made a mistake Nick. No one's perfect." Kevin explained.

"Yeah I know, but I promised her. I intended to keep my promise. She won't even listen to me, to let me explain to her."

"What is it that you want to tell her?" Howie asked.

"That I'm sorry for screwing up. That these last few days have been so great and that I think she's a wonderful person. She gets to me like no other woman. She makes me wanna be a better person. I'd tell her that, I'd change my ways to be with her. Then I'd tell her...."

"What? What would you tell her Nick?" Kevin questioned, looking at him knowingly.

"I'd tell her that...that...I love her, and that I want to be with her." He whispered.

Kevin and Howie stared at him, it'd finally happened. He'd fallen for someone who now didn't want him. They looked over at Nick sadly.

"Well you can't give up Nick. I mean even if nothing ever really happens between the two of you, you should at least try to apologize. At least do that." Kevin announced.

"But how? She wouldn't even listen to me."

"You make her listen." Howie pressed.

"I can't force her to listen to me Howie, that's not right."

"No, but you don't give her a choice. You sort of put her in an awkward position where she has to listen to you." Howie explained.

"Man Howie, if the fans ever found out how you really were..." Nick smiled shaking his head.

"Ha! I've got them all fooled!" Howie laughed.

"Ok, so I think we need to come up with a plan. We should get Brian in on this, he's good with these things. So are you Nick but since this is you, you're probably not the best person to ask." Kevin reasoned.

Nick raised his eyebrows. "Oh Ok..."

He was cut off by Kevin who went on. "Ok we've got to get everyone together to come up with a plan. Let's all meet in my room in 15. Howie you get Brian and AJ and Nick you're coming with me now." Kevin finished, pulling Nick off the bed and out the door.
