- MTTS 2007 will be held at three centres.
- Department of Applied Mathematics, University Institute of
Chemical Technology (UICT),
Mumbai during May 14 -- June 9, 2007
- Department of Mathematics, University of Panjab, Chandigarh
during June 4 -- June 30, 2007
- Department of Mathematics, IIT Guwahati during June 11
-- July 7, 2007
UICT, Mumbai will be the main centre, where all the three
levels will be conducted. Only level 0 will be conducted at the
other two centres.

Instructions for the selected candidates
The selected candidates are requested to send a letter of acceptance to the
respective local coordinators along with the undertaking, latest by April 10, 2007.
Please do not forget to mention your name, serial number, the level in which
you are selected. All the selected candidates will receive a letter of their
selection from the director. The selected candidates are further requested to
book their journey ticket well in advance to avoid the last minute inconvenience.

Eligibility
- Level O: Second year undergraduate (B.Sc./B.Stat./B.Tech., etc.) students with Mathematics as
one of their subjects; exceptionally good first year B.Sc students may also apply.
- Level I: Final year undergraduate (B.Sc./B.Stat./B.Tech., etc.) students with
Mathematics as one of their subjects.
- Level II: First year postgraduate (M.Sc./M.Stat./M.Tech., etc.) students with
Mathematics as one of their subjects.
How to Apply?
Details and application forms can be had from the Head,
Department of Mathematics of your Institution.
They can also be downloaded.
In case of difficulties, write to Professor S.Kumaresan by sending a self addressed
and stamped (Rs. 10) envelope of size 10 cm by 22 cm. Write MTTS-2007 Application Form
on the cover of your letter.
The completed application form should reach Professor S.Kumaresan latest by 18th February, 2007.
Only selected candidates will be informed of their selection by the second week of March, 2007.
The list of selected candidates will be available at MTTS Site by the end of March 2007.
Centres for Level-O participants will be decided by the programme director.
Electronic version of application form will not be accepted.
Selection
The selection will be purely on merit, based on consistently good academic
record and the recommendation letter from a mathematics professor closely acquainted with the candidate.
Candidates selected for the programme will be paid sleeper class
return train fare by the shortest route and will be provided with free board and
lodging for the duration of the course.
The list of selected candidates is likely to be announced in the first week of March 2007.
Only selected candidates will receive a letter of his/her selection from the director.
