The first thing Daniel has you do is save your registry settings. Since the book has a bunch of registry tweaks this is a very important step. From there he'll take you through beginning, inetermediate, and advanced steps. All of these were really easy to follow. Daniel provides step by step instructions for everything as well as questions and answers for each step. Some of the beginning things he has you do are pretty basic, such as running ScanDisk, Defrag, and getting rid of old files. Some of the other tweaks involve registry settings. For these he has a nifty solution and it doesn't involve figuring out Microsoft's arcane registry system. He simply has you download a tiny little program and run it. It does all the registry changes for you. There are tweaks available for various CPU types, video cards, modems, high speed connections, etc. My system feels much zippier since doing these. Other things these reg tweaks do are: speed up Internet Explorer, the screen display, memory access, hard disc, CD, and DVD access and more. And they're working nicely!One of the nice things about this book is how easy it all is.
