You can also do this without Tweak UI. Get the instructions here. Change focus without a clickThrough the Mouse tab, choose "Activation follows mouse (X-Mouse). " Yourfocus will always be the window where your mouse is. You can either click in the window to raise it to the top, or you can choose to "Autoraise" your windows, or bring them to the front as soon as they gain focus. Speed up your right-click menusClick the Mouse tab and bump the menu speed up to the fastest setting. Now you don't have to wait for your menus to appear. Stop renaming all your shortcut iconsClick the Explorer tab and uncheck "Prefix 'Shortcut to' on new shortcuts. " All your new shortcuts won't say "Shortcut to" before the program name, and you can save yourself all that time renaming your icons. Turn off ScandiskYou can skip Scandisk when you start after a crash. Just go to the Boot tab and choose to "never" under Autorun Scandisk. Be sure to run Scandisk on your own every week or so. Just type "Scandisk," without the quotes, into the Run box. Customize your desktopChoose the Desktop tab and choose which icons you want on your desktop. Make sure you have the ones you need for quick access to your most-used icons. Clean out your right-click menuUse the New tab to clean out your right-click menu. Uncheck all those extensions you never use to make sure you can find what you need without straining your eyes. Customizing your PC for efficiency can speed up your daily use.
