At the race track, crew members use pitbikes to follow the race car or to run errands, or go to the bleachers to watch the races or whatever. At the WERA and IDBA races, the pit bikes can be pretty radical. At Car races, however more and more golf carts and four wheelers are replacing the pit bike. This page shows mostly good, some bad, examples of pit bikes. If you have a cool or unique pit bike or a picture of one, send it to me for posting on the only Pit Bike Page on the internet.
Picture from the show formerly known as
The National Muscle Car
Association Nationals.
The racing barstool, built by an old friend named Bluefoot (that's his logo on the
flywheel cover), makes a perfect pit vehicle. The girl's Huffy (out of focus picture taken
at the 1998 Porsche Club Race in Memphis, TN), on the other hand, is not a cool pit bike.
Particularly if the rider is a hairy and shirtless Italian man.
