Biography


1st period

2002
BLOOD was born in 2002. At that time, the band had three members: Kiwamu, Kaede and Dai.
In the begining, a demotape called [Morphine] was released, and made it to number one in the rock section of Artist Debut Net.
New records called [Bloodtype], [Morphine/Collecter] & [Tsuioku] were released after Taichi and Takeshi joined the band. BLOOD played their first gig in Osaka on October 3rd, 2002.

2003


In February, BLOOD dismissed Dai, due to his not taking his role in the band seriously and not contributing time or funds toward getting the band heard throughout Japan.

2nd period
Takeshi replaced Dai as the main singer. This was the year BLOOD played their first lives in U.S, gaining an oversea fanbase.

2004


The band released their first and self title mini album, resulting in more concerts with in Japan and the U.S. Some days later Taichi and Takeshi left the band, replaced very quickly by Fu-ki.

Third period
In April, BLOOD performed in Europe for the first time - a sold out show at in Paris, France.
BLIND, the first single from the third period and the album BLOOD were re-released in Europe by the french label Mabell.
The new single, The funeral for humanity, was released in September and the [ VENGEANCE for BLOOD tour 2004 - 2006 ] started with many shows in Germany, France and Poland. Also, the first vampire concept series mini album came out during the tour.

2005


Continuing their world-wide activities, the band performed their first shows in South America in Mexico City.
After the release of their 2nd mini album, Vengeance for BLOOD 2, they once again headed to Europe, playing in new countries, such as Finland, Sweden and UK.
In May, two compilation CDs from previous periods were released [1st Period DX & 2nd Period DX]
The next project of BLOOD included the making of a live DVD. The concert was performed in Mexico city on November 5th.

2006


The DVD VENGEANCE for BLOOD Live in Mexico was released in March 2006 worldwide.
The third mini album Vengeance for BLOOD 3 was sold out in few days and BLOOD concluded their vampire concept [Vengeance for BLOOD] touring in Mexico and Europe.
 

In August, the band conducted all activities under the concept of the French poetry collection Les Fleurs Du Mal (The Flowers of Evil) by Charles Baudelaire.
After a two year abscence, BLOOD finally returned to the USA for two shows and with two lives in Mexico City capping off the tour.
The release of the new mini album Spleen ~ D'espair was in October on 2006, and the band came back to Europe for a live in Spain, Athens and Austria

BLOOD continues playing shows in Japan on a regular basis as well as participating in sponsor events. These often include bands such as Suicide Ali, Aural Vampire, BAAL and The Candy Spooky Theater.
