This designation is awarded after completing Level1 of FFSI and 3 more exams from Level2 of FFSI. I received my AFSI designation in July 2006.

Designation: Fellow, Financial Services Institution (FFSI)
Overview :
The designation is awarded by the international organization LOMA. Fellow, Financial Services Institute (FFSI) courses provide insight for individuals who develop, manage, administer, and support wealth accumulation products, retirement plans, employee benefits, banking products, mutual funds, and other financial products
To earn the FFSI designation, students must successfully complete 7 self-study courses, which are divided into two levels, and earn a total of 3 Professional Achievement Credits (PACs).
FFSI Level One: Consists of two courses:
- LOMA 286 - Principles of Financial Services and Products
- LOMA 305 - Personal Financial Planning
FFSI Level Two: Consists of 5 self-study courses and 3 Professional Achievement Credits (PACs). The 5 courses include the following:
- LOMA 311 - Business Law for Financial Services Professionals
- LOMA 326 - Financial Services Marketing
- LOMA 351 - Financial Services Environment
- LOMA 356 - Investment Principles and Institutional Investing
- LOMA 380 - Financial Services and Products for Organizations
PACs: PAC credit is earned by completing courses or by earning designations, licenses, or certificates for demonstrated professional achievement in financial services product areas such as:
- Annuities
- Mutual funds/brokerages
- Retirement plans
- Securities
- Banking and more
