24th March 1958 was a sad time for Elvis fans worldwide as he was inducted into the US Army, during the two short but obviously endless years 53310761 Private Presley was promoted up to the rank of Sergeant and discharged in 1960. Whilst in the Army he met his wife to be Priscilla Beaulieu.
