In general, the lighting method that had been used for shots with character in this animation is Three-point Lighting Technique. However, for shots with other elements, such as water or aquarium, special setting of lights are required.

3. Besides lighting setup for character, lighting for water effects were done as part of the animation. Below are two shots of the animation which utilized the lighting setup for water effects.

Shot 5 in Scene 1

 

This is shot 5 in the animation. The lighting setup is focus not only on the props (mainly those fishes), but also the water effects.

Shot 19 in Scene 2

In Shot 19, the coin dropped into the gutter, and attracted tadpoles to move towards it. The ripple is created with the combination of mapping and lighting setup.
