Abstract

Beginning:

In a sunny afternoon, a Chinese boy passed by a pet shop after school. There, he was attracted by the beauty of the fishes in an aquarium. He intended to get a fish, but his pocket money was not enough for him to get even the cheapest fish in that shop. He was sad, and left the shop. Although he was not able to obtain a fish or a tank with limited money, he hadn’t given up. He decided to catch fish by himself.

Body / Climax:

He spotted that there were fishes in the gutter in front of his house. By using his broken, plastic badminton racket, he went for fish catching. Unfortunately, he caught no fish, instead he caught several tadpoles. However, he could not differentiate between tadpole and little fish. Satisfyingly, he kept his little pets in a used jam container. He fed these tadpoles with various kind of ‘experimental food’. Also, he liked to play around with them. These were all the little secrets between his pets and him.

Day after day, his little pets grew up bit by bit. Surprisingly, he found that his ‘fishes’ were gradually transforming into weird creatures. They started to lose their tails while getting more and more legs—from two to four.

Ending / Conclusion:

Eventually, his little secrets were discovered by his father. With the advice of this father, he released his pets back to the nature. As a form of reward for his love towards those little creatures, his father bought him several fishes together with a small aquarium.
