This time they all sat in Maria's bedroom, much to her mother's consternation. Amy DiLucca had given Michael the evil eye as Maria had led him and the rest of the, upstairs.
"So now we know for sure," Liz said with a sigh, staring at the picture of Tess with Miss Topolsky.
"Unless Miss Topolsky suddenly decided to live in Roswell, and magically had a 16 year old daughter, yeah we know for sure." Micheal said with a sigh.
"So why aren't we showing this to Max?" Isabel demanded, "I mean, this is as definate as it's going to get."
"We aren't," Maria said grimly, sitting on her bed, "You are Isabel."
She looked surprised, "What do you mean? I mean, why don't we all show him together. It would force him to believe."
Michael shook his head, "No, having Liz, Maria and I there would not help. You're pretty much the only person that he hasn't yelled at yet. Well, not Alex, but I don't think he'd help the case."
"Hey," Alex objected, "Max doesn't hate me."
"Max also didn't hate me, Maria or his girlfriend," Michael said, sparing Alex a glance. He then turned back to Isabel. "I can't think of a reason he would think of you making this up. So, you show him the picture. You get him to believe before it's too late."
"When should I tell him?" Isabel asked, accepting.
"Tomorrow," Michael said firmly, "Before school sometime. Give him no choice but to believe you. I will not let her ruin my life."
Isabel nodded. She just stared at the picture in her hand. A picture of the two women who really wanted nothing more than to destroy her.

Maria waited anxiously outside the school with Michael, Liz and Alex. Isabel and Max should be arriving at school together in the jeep any minute now.
Michael was leaning against the railing on the stairs up to the school. He looked half asleep. This was hard for him, missing his usual late morning sleep ins.
Liz was wearing the depressed, melancholy expression she had been wearing for the past couple days. Maria hope that Max listened to Isabel, not only for the 3 aliens sake, but for Liz's as well.
As for Alex he looked the least worried. That was likely because he had little riding on this. Right now he was simply telling Liz corny, pointless jokes to get her mind off her troubles.
"They're here," Maria exclaimed as the familiar jeep pulled into it's usual parking spot. Michael managed to peel his eyes open and it was enough to save Liz from Alex's twisted sense of humour.
Max was the first to get out of the jeep. He slammed the door behind him and stalked away. The group of them watched in surprise as he stalked past them on the steps up to the school.
The remaining pieces of Liz's heart broke into even smaller pieces as she watched him greet Tess warmly as he stepped inside the school. She slid an arm around his waist and they walked away.
Isabel had finally gotten out of the jeep and walked slowly over to the assembled group. Her eyes were red and puffy.
"He didn't believe me either," she said with a humourless laugh. "I honestly don't know what has blinded him to this girl. He accused me of doctoring the picture just to break them up. He accused me of being jealous of her because she's threatening my position as most beautiful girl in the school."
"He's freaking insane!" Maria exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air. "He honestly can't be that attracted to her."
Liz looked away, tears filling her eyes again. Isabel looked at her and back at everyone else, "Did it ever occur to anyone that Max is, I don't know, being brainwashed or drugged or something."
Michael shrugged, "I don't think there is a drug that can make someone hate his friends and family, or something to make him inexplainably attracted to, and trusting of another person."
Isabel shrugged, "It was just an idea."
"It would explain a lot of things," Liz siad thoughtfully, with hope in her voice.
Michael hopped to his feet, "Listen you guys, it's just not possible. Maximillien is acting like a jackass of his own free will."
"There's only one thing left to do," Maria said with a sigh.
"And what would that be?" Isabel asked, "I mean, Max obviously won't listen to us no matter what."
"I don't think even getting her to show him her badge would help," Alex said lightly.
Maria sighed, "I think it's time we had a talk with little Miss FBI herself."
