Tuesday. Maria walked into the school, glancing around, praying Michael wasn't anywhere around, waiting to annoy her. Actually hoping Liz wasn't either.

She had spent 2 hours with Liz last night, trying to convince her that she had no reason to feel threatened by Tess. And this was before she knew Max had invited Tess for Friday night's get together. Maria only knew because Isabel had let Maria in on that fact.

Maria saw Michael walking down the hall and quickly ducked into the nearest room. It just happened to be the Eraser room.

She quickly shut the door and stepped back, praying he hadn't seen her. Those hopes were dashed however when the door opened and the spiky-haired demon boy stepped in.

"Avoiding me?" he asked, shutting the door.

"You could say that," she snapped, trying to get by him.

He blocked her. "We need to talk."

"We have nothing left to say to each other," Maria said with a deadly smile.

He shook his head, "For God's sake Maria, you're the one who likes talking so damn much." he saw the murderous gleam in her eye and backtracked, "Listen, we need to talk about this weekend."

She shook her head, "What's there to talk about? You thought that I could help you find home so you used me. Correct me if I got anything wrong there."

He shook his head, "You got it all wrong."

"Which part?" she demanded, "It all sounds right to me."

Michael sighed, he was going to be forced to say it. "The part about using you."

Maria gave a short laugh, "Yeah, uh huh. What else would you call it? You kissed me, you touched me and it was all for the sake of visions."

Michael cast his eyes downwards, "It was just an excuse," he mumbled.

"What?" she asked, she wasn't sure she had heard right. "What did you say?"

"It was just an excuse," he said loudly.

When she didn't say anything, Michael sighed and continued reluctantly, "I thought I was doing it just for the visions," he explained, "I really did. Then, I touched you again and all thoughts of home flew out of my mind. It just became about getting close to you."

Maria looked at him skeptically. It was hard to swallow, "You expect me to by that?" she asked him, crossing her arms.

Michael sighed exasperatedly, "I'm admitting to feelings here Maria. That should tell you something."

She looked away. It made sense. This wasn't exactly something Michael would make up. Swallowing his pride to say this was probably killing him. Besides, this beat the 'you don't repel me' she had been willing to settle for.

She looked back. He looked sincere. Oh, heck, whatever. She was pretty much ruined for all other men anyway.

Michael was surprised when Maria grabbed him and began to kiss him. The bell for first class rang, but neither noticed. They were to busy 'sucking face'.

When Maria finally glanced at her watch she did a double take.

"Oh my God!" she exclaimed, pulling away from Michael. "We are 15 minutes late for class."

She threw open the door and marched out. Michael followed her, but stopped her for one more kiss.

It was in that moment of silence that they heard the voice from around the corner. "I've established contact," the voice said. It was a female.

Maria pushed back from Michael and put her finger to her lip motioning him to be quiet. She gave a quick glance around and saw Tess standing there, talking on a cellular phone. She had her back to Maria.

"Nice wardrobe you guys picked for me," she remarked into the phone and Maria pulled her head back.

It's Tess she mouthed at Michael. They heard her telling the people on the phone goodbye. Michael grabbed her arm and pulled her towards the classroom.

Not caring about appearances, they went into class together. They made up same lame excuse which Mr.Lockwood bought and got late passes.

Tess walked in a minute later. Apparently she had been in the bathroom. She walked down the aisle to her seat and slid in.

Maria noticed she was sitting in Liz's usual seat beside Max. Liz on the other hand was sitting nearly on the other side of the room. She looked ready to kill.

Maria glanced at Michael. If what they heard was any indication, Liz had more serious reasons to hate Tess.
