More controversy in the world on fashion this week as footage has come to light of Elle McPherson allegedly eating a breakfast roll. The video phone recording of the supermodel wholeheartedly devouring the greasy morning roll has sent shock waves through the entire industry.
"This behaviour is unacceptable and, frankly, I'm disgusted," said Rimmel spokeswoman Annette Fleischman. "Ms. McPherson is a role model to millions of teenage girls worldwide. What sort of example is this setting for them? If the next generation turns out to be acne-ridden fatties I think we will all know who to blame."
So far McPherson has refused to come out against her breakfasting habit. Fashion world insiders however are claiming that the whole industry is rife with such behaviour and many young models feel pressurised into starting off early morning shoots by consuming pork products.
Questioned on what sort of effect this could have on the younger generation, world renowned child psychologist Ruben Lane stated that teenagers are extremely impressionable and will mimic everything their idols do without any independent thought of their own. "Just look at the hordes of Nirvana fans that travelled to Seattle and blew their heads off with shotguns when they got to their late twenties. And I can't even tell you how many fans of Steve Coogan came to me recently looking for Courtney Love's phone number in the hope that they too could be accused of impregnating her."
When it was put to him that perhaps teenagers could think for themselves and wouldn't necessarily fall into breakfast roll addiction in an effort to mimic McPherson, Lane replied, "Bullshit. Of course they will - teenagers are morons."
