It was announced yesterday amid heated expectation that
Pyramid have confirmed that they will in fact be doing a
Galway gig in The King's Head next week.
Frenzied excitement at the announcement was not only
confined to their huge fan base but spread to the entire
county. On hearing news of this momentous gig the Mayor
applauded the organisers in pulling off such a coup, "You
know, this is a really fantastic achievement for The King's
Head and for Galway and really a fantastic opportunity for
lovers of cover bands everywhere to see one of the top
bands in the business".
Tickets were already sold out by 8pm last night. Fans
waiting all night for the announcement were the first to get
their hands on the ticket of the year. An excited fan last
night said "you know, this is such an important musical
occasion to be witness to, I mean Pyramid haven't played
here since like, last week and they may not play again 'til
next week. I'm just really glad I'm going to be at one of the
most historical gigs of our generation". If you want to get
your hands on tickets to see Pyramid, they're selling on ebay
for 400 euros. We'll have an exclusive review of the gig in
the next issue of The Naked Galwegian.
In other gig news it was announced last week that, like a bad
dose of the clap, Ocean Colour Scene will be returning to
Galway on the 10th and 11th December.
Lock your doors and stock up on penicillin.
