Growing fear of the power of German supermarkets

The Minister for Enterprise has expressed concern at the extent of the power being wielded by German supermarkets. Low prices have guaranteed large amounts of punters and the government is beginning to notice changes in the behaviour of clientele.

The German supermarkets have operated in Ireland for several years, providing low cost groceries to the Irish consumer at the lower end of the tax bracket. The supermarkets have been dubbed "the poor man's stock market", thronged with people gazing upwards at prices, signalling to family members amid shouts of "buy all you can, Jimmy".

But now, there are growing fears that der influence of German supermarkets might be too far-reaching. The streets are awash mit empty bottles of Bergadler Lager, Finkbrau and various other Germanic beverages. Consumption of vast amounts of German noodles und beans hat a profound effect on people involved. Es ist difficult to say what the long-term effects are, aber es ist meiner Meinung daß dieses Situation sehr ungerechts ist und cannot continue.

Man kann etwas finden in Sondersangebot im ALDI oder LIDL. Es ist sehr cool!
