Australian furniture giants Harvey Norman today announced that all their Irish retail outlets would
be relocated to the top of round towers. The move will commence immediately and experts expect
it to take up to a month to complete.
When asked for the reasons behind such a bizarre move a representative for Harvey Norman said
"Well history has shown what the Vikings did to the Irish hundreds of years ago. Now those
bastard Scandinavians are invading again. If round towers protected the monks against the Vikings
we think they'll protect us against IKEA."
IKEA declined to comment on whether rape and pillage were part of their proposed business plan
for Ireland. However a leaked copy of IKEA's new logo (right) would seem to suggest that an
aggressive stance is being planned.
