Japan expresses outrage at GAA's
refusal to open up Croke Park

Japan's Prime Minister today went on record declaring his personal disappointment at the GAA's negative attitude towards opening up Croke Park to other sports. He stated that he can only interpret this as small minded prejudice and xenophobia and see it as a personal slight to his nation.

He went on, "For many years Japan has dreamed of bringing Sumo to the bosom of Ireland, to its premier sporting arena, but now all those dreams lie in ruins, in future you will only see our great sumo warriors mocked in silly ads for fromage frais, this is Ireland's great loss, shame on you GAA."

A number of other countries including Papau New Guinea, Nepal and Guam have all joined forces with Japan to vent their anger that their respective national sports will not be given the opportunity to come to Croke Park.
