Boy did I just get the most awesome recipe for HOMEMADE Cherry Vodka!! WOW OH WOW!! I will post this as SOON as I know how to add things like that to my page. It has to sit for 3-4 weeks, but after it sits, POW! What a kick!!! Its very smooth. I am not totally sure you would call this Vodka or Liqueur. But its good stuff.
Do you have a great drink that we'd all like? E-Mail me with it and I will post it. I will learn this by next week, so check back as often as you can!!
Well here it is....
1 bottle of everclear grain
alcohol
3 bottles of water
1 Tablespoon of
lemon juice
2 cups of sugar
3-6 Tablespoons
cherry juice
bottle of cherries
Boil water to disolve sugar. Then cool. Add lemon juice. Add cherry juice to taste. Once cool, add grain alcohol. Pour into bottles, add 8-10 cherries per bottle. Store for 2-3 weeks.
Our first batch was a success!!! It was great. We tested it out on a recent trip to Oklahoma and we finished all 3 1/2 bottles. Can't wait for the next opportunity!!
Lewis, one of my customers, gave me this recipe for you all to try. He and a bartender named Louise invented this a while back. Thanks for sharing Lewis. Its called a:
I have some great drinks here for you now. As I have them, they are shots. But we drink them as drinks.
I saw a new shot last night while I was at work. It sounds totally gross, but they all seemed to love it.
I have a knock off of CHERRY LIMEADE from SONIC. Its great, so try it! Even if you've never been there before.
12 oz can of sprite
2 Tbs
cherry syrup
1/3 of a lime.
Mix the cherry syrup into the sprite. Then squeeze the lime in. Stir and drink. You should add a cherry or two.
Thanks to Iona from New Orleans for this one!
Here is one sure to get things fired up for you this weekend! I've tried this one and it's actually pretty good.
I thought I would give you one of my own creations. I had been working on this drink for a while and I thought I had finally gotten it down when I handed it to my trusty taste tester (KD...He was a glutton for punishment) He drank it down and said it was PERFECT and asked for a second. About 30 mins after the second drink he tried to stand up and realized he couldnt feel his legs...hence...the name..The Paralizer.....It turned out to be a VERY popular drink at the bar in Scotland.
