Act I

"A Man and A Women?"

Abroad Zentradi Commander Britai’s cruiser, Britai 7018 and his advisor Exedor 4970 examine some objects captured from an enemy ship. The Zentradi first suspected that the ship belongs to the all-female Meltrandi forces, but the recently acquision ruled out that possibility. "Furthermore," Exedor reports to his commander, "a number of our soldiers received strange sound signals near the enemy vessel and became unable to fight." "Strange noises? Unable to fight?"

The SDF-1 Macross appears out of the darkness of the Titan orbit. For over five months now, Macross has been hunted by the Zentradi fleet since its was sent away from Earth to Pluto from that ill-fated hyperspace fold operation. It has been fighting its way through the giant Aliens, trying to return to Earth. Zentradi has just begun another assault on the space fortress. "This is Delta One to Skull, Angel, and Apollo:" issues Lieutenant Misa on the bridge, "All System go. Prepare to launch. Stand by." The VF-1A Super Valkyries are swung out on the launch arms. "All systems green. Good luck to you." The fighters proceed to launch into space to face the incoming Zentradi battle pods

Inside the ship, the people within Macross City go about their daily business as if the First Space War has never occurred. Lovers kissed on the bench in the park, commuters busy on their way and business shined their neon lights and holographic images with familiar names such as "Honda." The sound of music and singing filled the evening atmosphere in this lonely city in space as the shipboard super starlet Lynn Minmay is giving her very first live performance.

"Two big hearts joined in the blue sky."

"It is a love sign."

"I love you."

"You love me?"

"But he has a crush on his plane."

"KYUN KYUN,"

"KYUN KYUN."

"My boyfriend is a pilot."

The Crowd burst into applause as Minmay finished her first song. "Thank you everyone. Good evening, I'm Lynn Minmay!" "Minmay!" A man in the crowed cheered on. "Thank you! Tonight is my first concert and I thank everyone here for supporting me. It has been five months since Macross left Earth and many have suffered. But tonight, let's forget such sad things and enjoy ourselves!" And so as the crowded erupted in ovation, Minmay began her song, "Little White Dragon."

"Remember, The silver wings that dance in the great sky."

"Shao Pai Long!"

"Remember, The burning eyes that tear apart the darkness."

"Shao Pai Long!"

"Shao Pai Long!"

"The man who came to seek the diseased city, Evirus."

"Slayer! Slayer! Slayer!"

"Shao Pai..." The music suddenly stops and a sharp siren went off across Macross City and surprised Minmay. "What?"

"Attention! Attention!" A female voice came from the PA. "Transformation in three minutes! Go to the nearest shelter as soon as possible!" Even before the voices finishes, the amphitheater closes itself up and displays the remain time before transformation." With the crowd in chaos and her first concert cut short, Minmay seems confused and shocked as she remained standing on the stage.

A squad of Valkyries appears out of the distance with Titan and Saturn in the background. The pilots listened to Misa, the Chief of Operation’s new orders. "Delta One to squads Skull, Angel, and Apollo: course correction to 308 + A15. Enemy estimated to be within firing range in thirty seconds. Prepare to intercept the enemy." "Skull Leader to Squad: you heard the lady, so assume intercept formation 17." Roy commands, "Understand? "Roger." Hikaru and the others fire forty-eight missiles at the incoming Zentradi battle pods. The space in front lights up with balls of flashes as the majority of the missiles found their marks. Hayao shouted in excitement, "We got them!" "Don't celebrate yet." Roy ordered, "Decelerate and engage enemy!

"Roger!" The squad breaks formation as the Valkyries transforms from Fighter Mode into Gerwalk Mode.

Hikaru fires all of his missiles and wipes out the three battle pods. Max, the best in the squad speeds over and destroys the Pods following Hikaru and disable one of them then grabs the Zentradi and blows his head away. "Max, you are a genius!"

"I got one!" Hikaru's excitement flowed through the communication channels as he picked off another battlepod with his cannon, "I got another one!" The fight goes on and just as the Valkyries are getting the upper hand, Roy receives an emergency message from Misa, "What did you say?" "This is Delta One. A large battle vessel has just materialized out of a fold operation and is headed directly towards us! Scanners detect a large number of enemy battle pods on board! Emergency! Prepare to engage the enemy! "They were just decoys!" The alien began direct assault on the Macross. Under the cover with the cruisers and crafts, Zentradi Battlepods and Powered Armors approached the space fortress and engaged in melee combat with the Defense Network. Hikaru arrives back at the Macross just in time to stop a Zentradi powered armor from firing on the helpless bridge crew. But he was scolded me Misa for leaving his post with Skull. "I am not taking orders from a woman!" Hikaru burst away towards to the pods intruding the ship and ignored his commanding officer Misa completely.

Inside the city, three Zentradi rip their way through. Two of them landed on the streets, but the third crashed upset down on top of one of shelter. This is the very shelter that Minmay and her brother Kaifun are in. Kaifun grabbed Minmay’s hands and hit the street but one of the soldiers spots them. "A man and a woman?" the alien shouted in shock, "A man and a women!" "What, a man and a woman?"

Kaifun and Minmay kept on running to avoid the aliens but the giant airlock that was deployed during transformation spring up from the street and separated them. Minmay is alone with the Zentradi on one side and Kaifun on the other. Just then, the gravity systems in the sector gave out and everything started to drift. Minmay screen at the sight of the reaching hand of alien. Hikaru arrived at scene and blow away the Zentradi. However, Minmay had already drifted away. Hikaru fires up his engines and manages to catch up to her and grab Minmay with one of the plane’s mechanical arms. He signed in relief but soon realized that he was about to crash into the back of a compartment and all he can do is to shield Minmay. The VF-1A crashed into a sealed off area of Macross and the air lock slammed down behind the fighter.

The Macross now transformed into Battle Mode awaits final confirmation from the Cat Eye Reconnaissance Craft. "Enemy ship is approaching; course 107."

"Course confirmed. Switch to automatic."

"Energy level rising. Guns, stand by."

"FIRE!" ordered Captain Gloval. A burst of energy leaps forward from the main guns of the Macross struck and vaporizes the incoming Zentradi cruiser.

The remaining Zentradi Battle Pods and other small ships begin to flee.

Inside a sealed-off area, Hikaru gets out of his Valkyrie and surveys the damage with a flashlight. "Could it be?" He realizes the girl he has just saved is the famous starlet Lynn Minmay. "It's the real thing!" Hikaru drops the flashlight and breaking it with his foot out of shock and surprise. "Uhn...what?" At the sound of the crouching light, Minmay begins to wake up and startled Hikaru.

"Huh?"

"You're...?"

"Yes?"

"You saved my life…"

"I'm U. N. SPACY Valkyrie Skull Squadron Pilot, E-Ensign Ichijo, Hikaru." Hikaru looking unmistakably tense and uptight as he replied his favorite star.

"Thank you, Mr. Ensign."

"Hmm...do you know where we are, Mr. Ensign?"

Hikaru produced a pen and his handkerchief. "Uh...could I please have your autograph? I am biggest fan." Minmay naturally signed holding the cap with her mouth.

"We fell into the engine block." Ichijo finally answered Minmay’s questions.

"Is there a way out?"

"I'll go look. I don't think there's any."

"Can't you break down the wall?"

"No, its super alloy, unbreakable." He then tries his wrist communicator but received only static. The two realize that they are trapped as the plane’s radio is also damaged.

"Is anybody out there?" Minmay shouted in the darkness, "Anybody? Help?" She finally gave up and sits down on some of the wreckage. She is quite happy that she finally get to rest from her busy life of being a star.

The ship begins to move out of its orbit from Titan. The jolt scares MINMAY so that she grasps onto Hikaru. "Eek!" Without any warning, the artificial gravity in their section gives out

"There is…there is no gravity!" Hikaru attempts to hold on to the drifting Minmay but accidentally touches her breast. "Ah!" Minmay pushes herself away from Hikaru and the force sends her tumbling. Hikaru little shaken from what just happened looking at his hand and find Minmay struggle to stay in balance.

"Swing your legs forward and stop them slowly!" At his instruction, Minmay quickly regained her balance and giggles and floating experience. "This is fun." Before Hikaru could say anything, Minmay had already launched herself into the air again and begins to drift to a darkened part of the huge room.

"Don't go there!"

"Wow! Weeee!"

"Hey! Miss Minmay! Stop! What’s going on." Suddenly Minmay’s dress begins to glow and Hikaru stares amazed. "I got just for the concert?"

"It is…it’s beautiful."

They reach a different, lighter part of the sealed bulkhead. There is all sorts of junk that had followed them in from the city before the doors closed. "There's a tuna and some vegetables floating around. Look, there is even a doll of me here." Minmay flicks the "Minmay Doll" with her finger and sent it spins away, head over heels, playing a song that is stored in it.

"Zero-G love, zero-G love!"

"On my way home from school with my boyfriend,"

"At the usual corner where we part,"

"Seeing no one's around, He kissed me without warning."

"I pretended to get angry at him

"…but...but...My head dimmed,"

"and my heart pounded."

"Zero-G love, zero-G love."

"Four, three, two, one, zero-G love."

"My body went floating away on the wind."

The two began their daily life trapped with in the engine block of the space fortress. They were stranded for three days.

On his battle cruiser, Britai listens to the latest report about Macross. A recording of what the infiltrating soldiers saw and did was displayed on to the screen as both Britai and Exedor were both shocked at the sight of Minmay and Kaifun.

"A man and a women?"

"Unthinkable!"

"They must be microhumans. Our founders simply said to leave them and do not harm them. Those who do will perish." Exedor advised his commander.

"Ridiculous, they cannot harm my fleet."

Somewhere within Britai’s ship, a group of soldiers investigate an unusually small female. It is actually a Minmay Doll with a recording of her song.

"Microhumans? Microhumans?" The Zentradi soldier formed a ring with guns drawn and shields up. One of them cautiously walk up and taps the doll on the head with his gun. Suddenly the doll started to move and sing.

"KYUN, KYUN! KYUN, KYUN!"

"My boyfriend is a pilot."

"It shines and makes a quick dive."

"It fires its engines and makes a quick ascent."

"Pulling a tail of white smoke,"

"it draws two big hearts..."

"Microhumans. Huooo" A soldier raises his gun to it but is strangely affected by the music. He finds that he can't fire. "Huhhhhh….hooooo." The soldiers was scrambling to their retreat.
