 
 
INGREDIENTS 
 
Place the cleaned mussels in a bowl of water with the ice and the flour.

3-4 lbs. mussels (cleaned)
2 T. flour
12-18 ice cubes
1 jar Marinara sauce
1/2-3/4 c. dry sherry
3 cloves garlic (sliced thin)
Fresh or dried basil, oregano & thyme to taste
1 lb. spaghetti
 
Let the mussels "feed" on the flour for 30-40 minutes.
Place the Marinara, sherry, garlic and herbs in a large skillet or pot simmering 5 minutes.
Drain the mussels and add to the sauce.  Cover and cook over medium heat 5-7 minutes.
Serve over hot spaghetti.
